Hey fashionistas! Young celebrity love is in the air. Tween sensations Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber took a weekend to celebrate the actress-turned-singer’s 19th birthday. The duo began the festivities with a day of light-hearted fun at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Selena, a Disney Channel star, was spotted happily browsing the shops with her guy. Justin then treated the birthday girl to dinner at the hip Geisha House restaurant in Hollywood. The Baby singer finished off the weekend with a surprise appearance at Selena’s Sunday night concert – much to the audience’s delight. Of the surprise appearance he tweeted: “Had a great night and surprised the people. Felt good to be on stage. Nothing is changing that.” He posted a picture of himself giving his Wizards of Waverley Place girlfriend a kiss on the cheek with the caption: “Happy bday baby”.

Selena also appears in the film Monte Carlo alongside Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy and Cory Monteith, which hit theaters earlier last month. Selena Gomez looks as beautiful as ever on the cover of the August/September 2011 issue of Girl’s Life magazine (above), and talks about everything from social media to love to leaving her hit Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena may have gotten her acting career started by starring on Barney and Friends, but it was her role as Alex on Wizards of Waverly place that made her famous. The actress/singer talked about the show coming to an end with Girl’s Life, saying, ” I feel like I’m the girl from Texas that moved to L.A., just older and a little bit wiser.”
Selena loves her career, but she admits being famous isn’t always easy. The media reports some pretty hateful things about today’s celebs, an issue that Selena has come to terms with. The young starlet admits to having a love-hate relationship with the Internet and to not liking it in general. Speaking of her fans, the newly 19-year-old Disney star gave them a bit oflove advice, telling Girl’s Life, saying that love is beautiful. It’s hard but so wonderful. You should enjoy it and make sure the person betters you. She also advises fans to have fun and to be prepared for anything.
