we teach golf. TH E 411 We are a golf program suitable for 2nd graders all the way up through adult seniors. Our clinics are fun activity based lessons and games “away� from the golf course. We know this sport can be challenging and full of embarrassing moments, so this approach takes the edge off and reduces pressure, especially for beginners and children. Our mission is two-fold; teaching basic skills in a fun engaging way, and providing opportunities that keep everyone active and healthy. HELLO CRANFORD Short Grass Golf camp is returning to Cranford, NJ this summer and we are looking to create future golf fanatics. Yes, we offer fun group and private lessons for all ages, but we specialize in teaching kids the basics and improving on current skills. Each program will run for an entire week from 9am 11am (10 lesson hours total). We can also offer 2 hour afternoon sessions by request. Depending on the weather, lessons are held either inside the Cranford United Methodist Church gymnasium, or outside on the grass at Sherman Park, which is right across the street. We use safe indoor/outdoor golf balls and provide all equipment needed. Just wear comfortable athletic clothing, bring a drink, and have sunscreen if needed. Summer camp dates can be found on the registration form (page 7). Please note we offer the opportunity to reserve an entire week privately for your child and group of friends if that is more comfortable for them. We just ask for a 3 child minimum and advanced noticed so we can save the week.

CELEBRATING 6 YEARS All Color Chips programs include the elements and principles of art, basic art, and cultural history. Attention is paid to personal learning styles and levels in order to experience success and gain confidence while learning or enhancing a skill. This year we have NEW Presentations and Demonstrations with many NEW 2D & 3D projects and NEW themed workshops. Our uniqueness will introduce the 2014 season with themed workshops to include, academic drawing and painting, 2D/3D sculpture, caricature drawing, printmaking arts & crafts, a “sprinkling” of art history, color theory and the principles and elements of art. Our uniqueness includes providing small setting with personal and differentiated instruction. This includes the familiarity of our returning NJ Certified teachers and artists who insure a safe and caring environment. Our uniqueness is a place for K-7 students to meet for the summer, create and express themselves through the arts. Here, making new friends and connecting with old friends becomes a reality. Our uniqueness encourages, inspires and stimulates your child’s imagination,enabling each child to experience a feeling of success with the opportunity to put their “artistic license” to use. Cranford's AUTUMN Stars of 2013
This past year we have organized a handful of Summer clinics and after school programs in Cranford, NJ. We just completed our 8-week Fall after school program right before the holidays and now we are gearing up for 2014 Spring training. Our next clinic is scheduled for January 27th - March 24th and runs on Monday’s from 4pm -4:45pm. Location is at the United Methodist Church. calling all girl scouts In 2013 Short Grass Golf and The Girl Scouts of Central NJ (www.gscsnj.org) began a new relationship. We held our first golf clinic in September and received exciting responses from both the children and their parents. This program allowed the girls to meet their requirements for “Fair Play” & “Practice With a Purpose” badges. We will be having clinics in 2014 with our first one scheduled for May 4th at the Central NJ location in East Brunswick. If you would like to set up a clinic for Girl Scouts in your area, Please have your local scout leader contact us.
2013 RECAP & REVI EW SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAMS Seniors continually prove to be hard working and dedicated students. While bringing their life experiences “ to the table�, expressing themselves and destressing, they look forward to the each class and projects. Our senior citizen programs teach beginner and inter mediate classes in drawing, painting, art journaling, 3D projects and more. We offer opportunities to develop existing artistic skills, and introduce new skills in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Learn a new skill or sharpen an old one. Join us at an existing location or ask about starting a program at your Senior Center, Church, YMCA, Library and more.
WEEKLY ART EXHIBITIONS Each week culminated with a display of artwork created by our Summer progr m students. We ended the Summer program with a big amazing show that was a true success! Our parents, teachers and friends expressed the success of the addition of the weekly art exhibition.
