Shortgrass Library System is looking for a full time (36.25hrs/week), contract Processing Clerk to assist the Bibliographic Services Team by doing the final processing of library materials. The hours for the position are 8:15am to 4:30pm, Mondays to Fridays. Training will be provided. This position is under the general supervision of the Manager, Systems and Technical Services. Major Responsibilities  Produce labels  Complete the physical processing of library materials, including laminating book covers, taping spines of paperback books, attaching appropriate labels, etc  Change status of items processed and place on appropriate shelves ready for shipping  Maintain weekly statistics of processed materials  Assist with the monthly inventory and ordering processing supplies, considering quality materials and cost  Complete specific responsibilities as determined and assigned by the Manager, Systems and Technical Services.  This position also acts as the backup for a variety of other positions in the Bib Services Team and contains excellent opportunities for growth for the right candidate. Required Skills and Knowledge        

Dexterity sufficient to work with the laminator Data entry experience is an asset Must have great attention to detail Knowledge of computers, and accurate keyboarding skills Ability to work quickly and accurately Ability to work as part of a team Excellent time management skills Excellent customer service skills

Start: at the end of August Wage: $15/per hour Hours: 36.25 hours per week Term: 18 months, with possibility of renewal
