Children’s Programs Around the World with Santa Friday December 19 10:00am to 11:00am Santa has agreed to take some time from his busy December schedule to join us via video conference for a morning of holiday fun. Come in and enjoy hearing Santa read A Pirate’s Night Before Christmas, sign some Christmas carols, and learn about his plans for Christmas Eve. As part of this program, kids will be able to complete a holiday passport for Santa so they can remember all of his stops. There will be time to ask Santa questions, so make sure you come early for what’s sure to be a popular event.

All items will be donated to a local charity. Celebrate the story of the Mitten tree with us on our nal day of collection as we make crafts, play games, and more. Retirement Celebration The Brooks Public Library is sad to announce the retirement of Bessie Jacowishen. Bessie joined the Library in 1992 as a Library Assistant. Over the last 21 years she has done almost every job in the library from story time to taking books to the residents at the Villas and the Lodge. A strong supporter of our community, Bessie has also been recognized several times for her service in the community, including a nomination for the Provincial Volunteer Award for her work with the Library’s Outreach program. Bessie’s retirement is our loss, but a well-earned respite for her. To honour and celebrate her work we are throwing her one last party before she heads off into the sunset with her husband, Andy - and we would like to invite you to come join us on Friday December 12 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Thank you very much, Bessie. We wish you all the best. 10 Retirement Celebration
