Movies @ the Library The Wings of Johnny May Tuesday May 27 6:30pm to 8:00pm
MeetJohnny May, the first Inuit bush pilot in Nunavik - and a legend among his people. During the 34,000 hours of flight time he’s logged, May has lived through extraordinary adventures and has had a unique view of the transformation of the Arctic from his perch in the sky. May the force be with you at our annual Star Wars celebration. Come in and enjoy these free family events: Star Wars Lego Storytime 1:00pm to 1:15pm Come enjoy listening to tales about your favourite Lego Star Wars characters. All padawans and their masters (aka, kids and parents) are welcome to attend. Droid Toss, Build a Lightsaber, Padawan Braiding 1:15pm to 2:00pm Choose your own Star Wars adventure with these three fun activities. Practice your aim and the ways of the force at Droid Toss, build your very own lightsaber, and create every jedi padawan’s must have accessory. Star Wars Trivia Contest 2:00pm to 2:30pm Think you know everything about the Star Wars universe. Test your knowledge against other fans at our trivia contest. Gungan Energy Ball Fight, Pod Races 2:30pm to 3:00pm Ready? Set. Go! Make your own wearable Pod Racer ship costume at home, then come race against other podracer pilots at the Pod Races. Or choose a side and have fun participating in our Gungan Energy Ball Fight. All participants will be supplied with water balloons. May the best team win! 3

Book Bugs
Saturday May 17, and 31 10:30am to 11:00am Book bugs is an educational literacy program for children venturing into preschool and kindergarten. Reading, singing and learning can be fun! Teddy Bear Sleepover Saturday May 24 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Come over for some fun and games! Bring your favourite teddy bear, then leave it here to enjoy a night of fun with other stuffed friends. Pick your bear up in the morning and see what fun everyone had in the library overnight! 4

Take on the best players in Brooks and test your standard, vintage, or legacy pauper deck against the strongest players in the city. Help support the creation of our Accessibility Room, and pick up great items for yourself. We are looking for gently used books, clothing, and household items (no appliances) for our sale. Donations will be accepted starting Thursday May 29 until the start of the sale on Saturday. All remaining items at the end of day will be taken to a second hand store or recycled.
Quilt Raffle
Draw date: Saturday May 31 A large size beautiful hand-made quilt made by the Prairie Patcher Quilt Guild is being raffled off. All proceeds from the raffle will go to various projects at the Brooks Public Library. Tickets available at the library and Deanna’s Quilted Garden.
