Brooks Public Library 2014 Calendar “Brooks Public Library salutes our Emergency Services”
On sale this November $20.00 per calendar All proceeds for this calendar go towards equipment and materials for the Brooks Public Library’s new Accessibility Room coming in 2014. This room will contain computer equipment and materials to help our patrons that are visually impaired, have reading or cognitive difficulties, are learning English, and much more. 3
Children’s Programs Tales for Tots
Every Wednesday and Friday Morning 10:30 am to 11:00 am Tales for Tots is a fantasy themed literacy program that incorporates sparkling stories and imaginative sing-alongs with interactive movement, for children ages four and under. Sign up or drop in. All ages are welcome.
Book Bugs
Saturday November 2, 16, and 30 10:30am to 11:00am Book bugs is an educational literacy program for children venturing into preschool and kindergarten. Reading, singing and learning can be fun! Sign up or drop in. All ages are welcome. For more information about this event please give us a call at 403-362-2947.
Wii for Tweens
Thursday After School 3:45pm to 5:00pm Calling all gamers! Come in and enjoy playing the coolest multi player games the Wiii has to offer. Looking for more to do? We also have board games available to play. Wii Game Day is a free program for kids ages 7 to 12 and we supply snacks for all tween gamers. 4
Children’s Programs Starry Night Stories Every Tuesday Night 6:30pm to 7:15pm
Starry night story time is an evening children’s program with bedtime theme stories, games, songs and crafts for all ages. Come with your sleeping buddies and get ready to for some ffun!! Sign up or drop in. All ages are welcome.
Family Fun: Craft Day Saturday November 9 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Let’s have a fun day making all sorts of crafts! Create some family memories, and a few masterpieces, while bringing everyone closer together during this afternoon of creativity. Drop ins are welcome to this free family fun event.
Letters to Santa
Saturday November 30 2:00pm to 4:00pm Come to the Brooks Public Library and write your letter to Santa. We’ll give you everything you’ll need to write a great letter including paper, envelopes - we’ll even mail it for you. Please remember to bring your return address so that Santa can write you back! Drop ins are welcome to this free family fun event. 5

Movies @ the Library Buying Sex
