Children’s Programs Tunes n’ Tales Wednesday Mornings 10:30am to 11:00am Tunes n’ Tales is our new music themed literacy program for early readers that incorporates sparkling stories and imaginative sing-alongs with interactive instruments for children ages six and under. Drop in with the kids for this free weekly program.

Wii for Tweens Thursday Aftenoons 3:45pm to 5:00pm Calling all gamers! Come in and enjoy playing the coolest multi player games the Wii has to offer. Wii for Tweens is a drop in program for kids ages 7 to 12.

Slime Time! Saturday November 8 11:00am to 12 Noon Join the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum to explore their smoky cauldron and mysterious concoctions and make two types of slime! Gooey concoctions are perfect for those wanting to re-live Halloween! Prepare for an ooey-gooey good time.

Children’s Programs Letters to Santa Saturday November 29 2:00pm to 4:00pm Come to the Brooks Public Library and write your letter to Santa. We’ll give you everything you’ll need to write a great letter including paper, envelopes - we’ll even mail it for you. Please remember to bring your return address so that Santa can write you back! Drop ins are welcome to this free family fun event.

Teen Programs Teen Advisory Board Wednesday November 19 6:30pm to 7:45pm Looking for a chance to volunteer? Help us decide which books, CDs, DVDs, and video games to buy, teen programs to run, and much more. Open to all teens ages 13 to 17 or in grades 7 to 12.

Something to Do with Art Friday November 14 6:00pm to 8:00pm We want to see your artisitic side. Come into the library and make something artsy! We’ll provide the materials - you do the creating. IT’S FREE! For Teens 13 to 17 or in grades 7 to 12. Doors are open from 5:50pm to 6:10pm, FREE snacks and Drinks. Presented by TAB and CFSEA

Girls Night Out: Make-Up 101 Tuesday November 25 7:00pm to 9:00pm Become your own make-up artisit with help from the Brooks Public Library! Look your best and learn some helpful hints about which colours suit you best, how to apply, and what to avoid at this fun evening just for girls. Join us as our expert Debbie from Merle Norman gives you tips and advice on how to wear make-up. For ladies ages 13 and up. Pre-register at the library today.

Using only these lms and still photos from that era, director Robert Lower recreates the picture of Canada they gave us and looks in it for the Canada we know today.
