Board Game Night Tuesday, March 29 6:30pm to 8:00pm

We’ve revamped our Board Game Night. Join us once a month for a night of old fashioned board games, snacks and fun and a new feature game every month. This month it’s Giant Jenga. This is a free drop in program for all ages. 2 Contact Information

General Programs Beginner ESL Book Club

Sunday’s, Last session on March 6 2:00pm to 4:00pm Join our beginners ESL/ELL Book Club and improve your reading skills. We will be reading and discussing a book in English together. Contact Sandra at ABLE to register: 403-362-1685.

Advanced ESL Book Club Wednesday’s 5:30pm to 7:00pm

If you want to practice reading and writing in English join our advanced ESL/ELL Book Club where we will read and discuss a book together. Spaces are limited, contact SPEC at 403-501-1041 to register.

Device Drop-In & Technology Tutoring Monday Afternoons 2:00pm to 4:00pm Thursday Mornings 10am to Noon

Children’s Programs S is for Storytime

Wednesday or Friday Mornings Feb 24 to April 1 10:15am to 11:00am Children ages 5 and under are sure to enjoy this program filled with stories, songs and crafts. No two storytimes are alike but each is crafted towards an engaging theme that both parents and children are sure to love. Registration is required for these free programs.

Books N’ Babies

Tuesday’s 10:15am to 10:45am Join our baby storytime program. This 30 minute program focuses on interactive songs, rhymes and introduces board books to the babies. This is a free drop in program & parent participation is required.

Lego Club

Saturday March 12 2:30pm to 3:30pm Love lego? Join Shawna and Allison as they take you on a themed lego adventure. First you’ll listen to a story and then build your own lego creations all based on our weekly theme. Registration is required for this free monthly program for kids ages 5-10. 4 Children’s Programs

Children’s Programs Dr. Seuss Birthday Party Saturday, March 19 10:30am to 11:30am

If you love Dr. Seuss as much as we do, why not come and help us celebrate Dr. Seuss’s 112th birthday with books, games and perhaps even some goodies. This is a free drop in family storytime event for all ages.

Teen & Tween Programs Teen Advisory Board Wednesday, March 2 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Come into the library for free food and help us decide which books, CDs, DVDs, and video games to buy, teen programs to run, and much more. Open to all teens ages 13 to 17.

Teen Art Exhibit & Artist Reception Tuesday, March 22 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Come meet some of the talented Teens ages 13 to 17 that created this month’s exhibition in the gallery for the entire month of March. We will be handing out awards for Staff, Patron, and Sagebrush Artists Favorites.

TweenScene Creative Writing Program Saturday, March 5, 2016 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Join us in the library to try your hand at story writing, have fun playing games, and unleash your inner author! This is a free drop in program for tweens ages 10 to 13.

Tween & Tween Programs Lego TweenScene

Wednesday, March 2 & 16 3:45pm to 4:45pm Do you enjoy playing with Lego? Come out after school to our free Lego TweenScene! Each session will have a new theme to help spark your creativity. This is a free, drop-in program for tweens who are 10 to 13 years old.

Wii TweenScene

Wednesday, March 9 & 23 3:45pm to 4:45pm How are you at video games? If you enjoy playing the Wii then check out our Wii TweenScene after school program every second and fourth Wednesday at 3:45. This is a free, drop-in program for tweens who are 10 to 13 years old.

Book Hedgehog Craft TweenScene Wednesday March 30 3:45pm to 4:45pm

Would you like to learn how to make art out books? Join us at the library and learn to make a hedgehog out of book pages. This program is for tweens ages 10 to 13 years old. Space is limited. Please register by calling the library today.

Join the Reader’s Choice Book Club and read whatever you want. Simply pick a book, read it, and then tell the group your thoughts. This is a drop in, once a month program for adults.

Learn about the legal rights and responsibilities of an executor as they: gather estate assets; pays debts; distribute to beneficiaries and administer the estate. There’s a whole identity out there made up of information about you, most of it stored in electronic databases. Losing or getting this information stolen can be serious! This Month:

International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination Monday March 21 @ 4:00pm The Walk Against Racism begins at Brooks Public Library with opening remarks, then we will walk past City Hall and finish at the Brooks Junior High. Bring a flag for the walk to help demonstrate that unity is possible in our culturally diverse community. Pizza and snacks will be served in the Brooks Junior High Foods Room.
