VALENTINE’S DAY STORY CRAFT FOR 4 - 6 YEARS OLD Saturday, February 8 at 10:30 am Enjoy stories and songs celebrating hearts and friendship, followed by a craft. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Please note: craft activities often involve small items and pieces. These programs are free, however, space is limited; please pre-register beginning Tuesday, January 28 in person or by calling 403-502-8526. *Age limits for our programs are based on developmental and social targets appropriate to the age group. In order to participate a child must be within the posted age limit by the day of the program. We do not grant exceptions to our age limits as this could be seen as discriminatory to those who have not been admitted into a program. Thank you for your cooperation.

CYCLING IN ITALY AND CROATIA Sunday, February 2 2:00 pm Local cyclists Ed and Nancy Dick have enjoyed bicycle tours in three European countries. In addition to a breathtaking slideshow of their recent ride through Italy and Croatia, they will take the audience through the process of planning and preparing for a bike tour. Learn about the benefits and drawbacks of touring by bicycle as well as the differences between guided and self-guided bike tours. Even if you’re not a cyclist, you won’t want to miss this trip!

For Individuals with Dementia as well as their family, friends, volunteers, staff and other community members Tuesday, February 4, 10:15 am - 12:00 pm Participants will learn: What dementia is and how it relates to Alzheimer’s disease; how behavior changes during different stages of dementia; how to communicate with a person who is cognitively impaired; the benefits of Therapeutic Recreation and how it can improve quality of life; how to engage in meaningful activities. NFB FILM CLUB HUE: A MATTER OF COLOUR Sunday,February 9 at 2:00 pm Library Theatre A personal, heartfelt investigation into the history of colourism- the phenomenon whereby people within the same ethnic group discriminate against each other based on differences in skin tone.
