MONOPOREAD

July 4 - August 22 (For ages 1 - 12)

Players can participate once per day at the following times:

Mondays: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays:10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

BABIES AND TODDLERS SUMMER STORYTIME

THIS IS A DROP-IN PROGRAM

Monday mornings 10:30 am July 4, 11, 18 & 25 August 8, 15 & 22

July & August: Volunteers wanted to help sign kids up for Monoporead.

This is a drop-in program for babies and toddlers from 4 months through 2 years of age with a parent or caregiver. Enjoy rhymes, songs, tickles and bounces.

DROP-IN PRESCHOOL STORYTIME

Friday mornings 10:30 am July 8, 15, 22 & 29 August 5, 12, 19 & 26

* No morning session on July 28. JOIN US FOR OUR PANCAKE BREAKFAST INSTEAD. Face painting, bouncy castle and more. (*see page 12)

Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their 3 - 6 years old to drop-in sessions of stories and songs.

Library is closed on August 1 due to Heritage Day Holiday.

This is our wrap-up week where we get to play our favourite games, read our favourite stories, and celebrate the last days of the summer reading program.

The Book Buddies explore theatre and drama and get a chance to practice their dramatic flair.

“Muncha! Muncha! Muncha!” by Candace Fleming will be the featured title for this summer Storywalk®. Join us on Sunday, August 21 for the opening ceremony. The story trail will open at 2:00 pm with crafts and activities in the Nature Centre. Throughout the day participants can earn tokens that can be redeemed at the Library for a prize! The last day to claim prize tokens will be October 16, 2016. For more information please call the Nature Center: 403-529-6225.

We’re playing Minecraft in the Library. Register for one of the following time slots:

THE PAPERBACK EXCHANGE IS BACK FOR THE 29th YEAR

Every Wednesday during July and August 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

June, July and August 2016 Who: Adults and Young Adults. What: Fiction Paperbacks in good condition to be exchanged one-for-one. Where: Medicine Hat Public Library on the racks located by the selfchecks on the main level. Share good books without any due dates. Bring your fiction paperbacks into the library and leave them in the pink basket by the Paperback Exchange racks. Then select the same number of books from the racks and enjoy.

We do crafts, sing songs, or watch movies. If you are the caregiver for a person with developmental delays, please register them for this weekly activity.
