Wooden Bayonet A soldier had lost his bayonet and whittled one from wood so he could stand inspection. He was hoping not to be discovered until the regiment had gone into battle where he could pick up one from a dead soldier. At an inspection, an officer asked to see his bayonet. The soldier stated “ Sir, I promised my father I would never unsheathe my bayonet unless I intended to kill with it.” The Officer insisted he hand over the bayonet. Taking it out, the Soldier looked skyward exclaiming, “May the Lord change this bayonet to wood for breaking my vow.”

First Day in the Army
Science Answers From Kids Most books now say our sun is a star. But it still knows how to change back into a sun in the daytime.
OPEN NOW!
When little Reggie was inducted into the Army, he was advised to act tough. “That’s the only way to command respect in the Army,” his friends said. So Reggie did his best to carry out the advice. He swaggered all around camp, bragging, blustering and talking out of the corner of his mouth. “Show me a sergeant and I’ll show you a dope,” Reggie shouted. No sooner had he spoken than a brawny, battle-hardened figure appeared. “I am a sergeant!” he bellowed. “I am a dope,” whispered Reggie. Order Now The First in Synthetics

How Are You?
A woman has twins, and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named “Amal.” The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him “Juan.” Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his mom. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Amal. Her husband responds, “But they are twins - if you’ve seen Juan, you’ve seen Amal.”
“How are ya doing?” This question has become no more meaningful than the simple greeting we all use, “Hello”. No one answers that trite question or gives it any thought anymore. When you ask someone how are you doing? Try changing your intent to real concern about another’s welfare. Try being more specific, “How’s your [the day of the week] been?” “What’s happened for you today?” “How was your trip?” “How’d you sleep last night?” We’re happy to talk about simple events when they’ve recently occurred. We love to blabber about our delayed flight, the traffic jam, or the sunburn on our arm within a day or so of it happening. If on the other end of the question, try being truly open and honest. Our struggles and difficulties in life actually bring us closer to one another and inspire each other. Society has succumbed to the belief that we have to put on a front that everything is great in our life. We have become more antisocial in a time where there is more social opportunity than ever in history. Let’s use the resources, the experience and all the growth over the years to our benefit. Concern yourself with others and you will be stronger and better for it.
