THE MITTEN TREE
November 17 through December 31
We will be collecting pairs of new child-sized mittens to decorate the Library Christmas tree. After Christmas, the mittens will be given to children in need around the community. We thank you for your generosity. *Age limits for our programs are based on developmental and social targets appropriate to the age group. In order to participate a child must be within the posted age limit by the day of the program. We do not grant exceptions to our age limits as this could be seen as discriminatory to those who have not been admitted into a program. Thank you for your cooperation.

HUMAN LIBRARY BOOK OF THE MONTH The Legacy of the Black Devils Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 pm
The First Special Service Force (also known as The Black Devils or The Devil’s Brigade) was an elite commando unit made up of Canadian and American soldiers who went behind enemy lines during WWII. John Hart, the son of a Black Devil vet, will host a documentary about The Black Devils and share his knowledge of and enthusiasm for the subject. Special guest Staff Sergeant Henry Planger, a Black Devil vet, will also attend.
