BIOGRAPHY I was born in the city Tashkent but I barely remember it. When I was a small child my parents moved to Russia, Moscow. My devotion to photography started in year 2010. No one of my family members had such a hobby except my aunt. Though I studied economics at the university I have an artistic and creative personality. Everything that I learned about the technical aspect of photography is my personal achievement. Speaking of the aesthetic aspect – my results became better after gaining some experience. I love the world of art. I’m passionate about cities and streets. I strike for travelling and personal and professional growth. I like taking pictures of interesting people. The personality is always reflected in photos. I like when people smile in particular. Besides portraits I take pictures of architecture, nature and genre photos – it’s always for my own pleasure.

MARIA & SIMONA WINTER WALK

36

37

The shooting with Maria and Simona was taken in the suburbs of Moscow when it was -12 degrees outside. It was sunny and frosty. It was a stroke of luck that the nature was so beautiful, but the temperature was really cold‌But Simona was a very active labrador, she didn’t let us freeze. It was a cheerful day and I still remember it with a warm smile. I was thinking of this idea during a month but the shooting was organized quickly, in some days. I like spontaneous things. They always bring benefit, especially in photography.

48

BIOGRAPHY Austin Trigg is an outdoor lifestyle photographer based in San Diego, CA. With the passion for the outdoors, Austin finds himself in search for the perfect space and time waiting to be captured. Austin’s approach is about living simply, communication and timing. He finds his creativity within his photography by bringing all those attributes to his imagery. Drawn to the wilderness and its climates, Austin plays with light to portray scenery in a more detailed and technical perspective. His passion for sharing his message with photography constantly pushes him to new heights, whether on Mt. Whitney at midnight, hanging over Taft Point at sunrise or driving throughout the night, all to get the shot.

BIOGRAPHY José Cardoso, 4/18/1972, born and raised in Oporto where I studied and work. I found out my passion for photography 8 years ago when I bought my first camera, a “Kodak Bridge”. A truly self-taught, with lots of curiosity and always eager to learn more, I spend tons of time re a d i n g p h o t o g r a p h y b o o k s a n d w a t c h i n g p h o t o g r a p h y s i t e s a n d magazines. I usually photograph whatever catches my attention but since last year I have been dedicated to street photography, which is almost like a therapy for me because it helps me losing some of my shyness once I am obliged to contact with people, to ask them for permission to take their picture and also maintain a dialogue with them. I made my first exhibition in the year 2014 at the invitation of the Board of the Museum of Alvaiázere and I did some collective exhibitions with some great friends. Plans for the future, only time will tell...

BIOGRAPHY My creative interest in photography began 10 years ago, when I purchased a Leica M3. I want to create photographs that stir and expand the imagination of the people who view them. This is the main concept in my creative expression of photography. To realize this goal, I find it important to be simple. This is because putting too much information in one photo leaves no room for the imagination. Another factor is light and shade. Light places the focus on necessary information and makes the photo more dynamic. Shade eliminates unnecessary information and increases the imagination. Lastly, but most importantly, each photograph should be beautiful as one piece of an overall work. This is my approach to taking photos. I hope that my photographs can inspire the imaginations of as many people as possible.
