Photographer born in the city of Porto. Born in 1983 and developed his studies, initially in the area of Graphic Design and Production Digital Graphic and later in photography at the Portuguese Institute of Photography. His professional career began in 2010 and has had the architectural photography, marriage, social and photojournalism. Currently devotes much time to the area of weddings and reports. In his spare time he tries to be involved in a new project. In carrying out their work takes the opportunity to be as close as possible to their subjects and focus primarily on people seeing photography as a means to meet them.

The project is about Giovanni Diniz an MMA fighter with 39 years born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Brazilian culture fighter is very close to God and puts an enormous faith to Him. Giovanni present in Portugal for the second time to participate in a major portuguese MMA event, Cage Fighters 4. He arrived with 77 kg and had only 3 days to make weight for the event of 70.3 kg. I followed the fighter event during the process of losing the weight until the last sigh before putting the foot on the scale recording images on the border between the limit of strength and faith to complete an objective. In the end he did not win the fight but that happens to many great fighters. Sometimes we give our best and we cannot achieve the goal, but that’s life and we continue to try.

In my shots trying to freeze moments of reality or give shape through the management of the essential element of photography: the light. Despite having gained experience in various types of photography I prefer portraits and photos of people in general, trying to capture their essence in a gesture, an expression that characterizes. The best expressions or situations are those, which, although within a set, come out spontaneous, the photographer is responsible for see and collect them. Fascinated by shapes and colors I have however, a particular fondness for the monochrome because the emotional impact absolutely unique, that only b&w can give.
