HOUSE ALLEY HOUSE

One of the features of the modern world is the development of online communication. However, on the other hand, there are public communities such as schools and affiliated organizations in Japan, but declining communities at the local level is a problem. Therefore, in this project, I proposed a house where city, people and nature intersect with each other by using alleys in the "intermediate area" which was loved by Japanese residences before the Second World War which local communities were strong. This is the project made on 2014s’ the latter term Architectural Design program at Tohoku University. And this work won the first prize at the program.

site

To be on a narrow road means that people are close to each other.

The site is Tsukishima of Tokyo which is a landfill site facing Tokyo Bay. But there is a traditional downtown scenery here in Japan. New buildings and narrow houses are making contrast in the city. The boundary of the neighboring house and the house is separated by alleys. Residents' lives protrude behind narrow alleys, and alleys are communication spaces between neighbors.

The alley becomes a way direction connecting each room and makes inside and outside cross. The alley as a semi-outdoor space becomes a new intermediate area as a buffer zone of residents and the city. At the same time, the light, wind and sight pass through in the alley, the environment which was completed only in the house, giving breadth of life.

SCHOOL PEELED GROUND

In crowded areas like cities, things and people are physically close. However, buildings that gathered together to shrink the distance worsened the outlook of the city. Furthermore, when cities have buildings that combine various functions, people's activities have turned inward. As a result, it seems that cities pursuing convenience have rather separated people. In contemporary Japan, the integration and elimination of educational facilities has progressed due to the declining birthrate, the vigor of children and the involvement of residents and children are declining in various areas. This work is a proposal of an elementary school which becomes a square in a densely populated city where students and the local people can relate, reviewing the values that elementary schools are originally local bases. This is made on 2015s’ the former term Architectural Design program at Tohoku University. And this work won architectural freshmen championship in Japan.

The site is the Kimachi district in Aoba-ku, Sendai. The Kimachi Road that contacts the site is a main trafic road in the city of Sendai. In recent years, as a consequence of construction of condominiums, the number of children is increasing, contrary to the trend of modern declining birthrate. S Hospitals, middle schools, condominiums, shops, etc. are built around the planned site, and the population density during the day is high. There is a car street called “Ring No.4” on the north side and “Bansui Road” on the east side, however a pedestrian passage is secured.

COLLECTIVE HOUSE SEPARATED APARTMENT

In this proposal, I propose a high-rise architecture that does not separate the relationship between human beings and nature that existed there. The three-dimensionally Void is a hope for the site Arai district, which became the location of a disaster, to relate positively with the building of the high-rise. This is the project made on 2015s’ the latter term Architectural Design program at Tohoku University. And this work won the first prize at the program.

Inherit the memory of the tsunami On March 11th in 2011, we found that the coast of space becomes a sometimes frightening place. For a tsunami that we do not know when it will come , can architecture just wait to be destroyed? Every time the earthquake comes, can the cityscape of the sea be reset? This architecture is a retaining wall to protect the residents from the tsunami, a place for a life of local residents and bathers, one of the few wedding hall of the sea in the Northeast, and remains to convey the threat of tsunami. To the site of the negative image, we propose the architecture to create a positive space. This is the project made on 2016s’ the former term Architectural Design program at Tohoku University. And this work won the Jury Prize at ISAIA international competition.

Wedding by the sea Shichigahama town is a summer resort, as well as a place where sea bathers and foreigners gather, it is also called "Northeast Shonan". Comparing the Kanagawa Prefecture and Tohoku areas where the actual seaside space is crowded, there are many wedding ceremonies in Tohoku, centering on Sendai, whereas in Kanagawa there are many wedding ceremonies along the shore of Shonan . By establishing a new wedding hall next to the coast of Tohoku, it will attract many site : Shobuta

URBAN

RECONSIDERATION OF UNUSED FLOOR -THINK ABOUT ARCHITECTURE FROM AN UNUSED ROADI considered the meaning that urban planned roads that exist nationwide, yet do not fulfill the transport function even if planned before half a century ago exist in cities and suburbs. When these roads perform the original transportation function in a few years, this is a project to update a half a century previously constructed suburb extracting the latent spatiality and monumentality there, and by inserting a new scale architecture. This is the project made on 2017s’ Graduation Architectural Design program at Tohoku University.

The Ring Road No. 3 was decided on city planning in 1969, under the jurisdiction of the Yokohama City Road Bureau. Due to issues such as site acquisition, maintenance has been delayed considerably than planned, and there are still unused points still present.

As the South Totsuka area is a mortar-shaped site by the Kanto Plain, the Ring No. 3 line was also planned above the valley. Therefore, bridges covering valleys were urged by local residents to destroy the landscape of Yato and to deteriorate the living environment. Even now it is not used as a road, the bridge part which remains only form for more than 10 years has turned into an aversified monument.
