GOAT YOGA.
ALPACA OBSTACLE COURSE.
We kid you not. Feel at one with the earth, your mind and goat! If you’ve ever wanted to practice vinyasa with a curious goat by your side, then this is the class for you. It’s a one day only event on Friday 19 April. We make zero promises that it will be as majestic as the below photo.
You can walk an Alpaca (with the help of an experienced handler BTW) around an obstacle course. Alpaca my bags.
CHEESE. BURGER. PIE. YEP! Created back in 2016 especially for the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the Cheese Burger Pie is a juicy meat patty topped with cheese and a pickle encased in a delicious golden pie crust. Why choose one when you can have both?
LIT TLE HANDS ON THE L AND. A kid-sized working farm. Sadly, it’s only for kids aged 2-10 (otherwise we’d be there). It includes a chook shed, fruit orchard, tractor pull and farmer’s market. Teaching little hands the story of agriculture from crop-to-shop.
ARTESIAN NITRO ICE-CREAM. 196 Below will be bringing their artesian nitro ice-cream to the Show for the first time. Select from Smash Pav, Choc Oreo Smash and Exploding Raspberry Sorbet Ice Cream to sink your teeth into. Find them at The Edge 96.1 Food Truck Feedlot.
CHOOK WASHING. It’s kinda mesmerising to watch as the birds are lathered, fluffed and blow-dried ready for competition.
BABY PUPPY COMPE TITION. Every afternoon you can watch puppies aged 3-6 months roam their way around the ring, melting hearts everywhere.
PAT A PIGLE T. That’s all. Just do it.
THE SHOW STOPPER. Public Service Announcement guys, the Easter Show has its very own beer! Introducing the Show Stopper; a Pale Ale 100% grown and brewed in NSW. Only available at the 2018 Easter Show. Grab a glass at The Stables.

The essentials GE T T IN G T HERE DRI VIN G Parking at the Easter Show can be tricky, especially on the busy weekends. You can pre-book online, you can do this up to 11:59pm the night before you visit. The cost is $25 per entry regardless of the length of your stay. Just be prepared for delays in entering and exiting the parking stations, it can get VERY busy. For more info visit here. IMAGE SOURCE: INSTAGRAM
OP ENIN G H OUR S The Easter Show is in town from Friday 12 to Tuesday 23 April 2019. Gates open 9am daily. The Showbag Pavilion is open from 9.30am to 9.30pm every day.
T I C KE T S You can pre-purchase your tickets online through Showlink to get the best prices. At the moment you can nab yourself the Early Bird Ticket Rates! You can get adult tickets for $37 (down from $43). A Junior Ticket costs $22 and covers anyone 4 - 15 years of age and school pupils 16 - 18 years of age in possession of a ROA School Pupil ID Card or valid School Transport Pass. A concession ticket is $27. A family pass will set you back $99.50 (or $140 at the gate). Children aged 3 or under are free.
This year there are special Twilight Tickets available for entry at 4pm only. Children tickets are just $10 and Adult tickets are $31. It’s a great option as you still have over 5 hours of fun at the show!!
P UBL I C T R A NSP ORT We highly recommend using Public Transport to get to the Show. There are extra trains and buses running regularly. The ShowLink tickets include the travel to and from the show (remember to keep your ticket for your return journey home!).
LO C KER S A ND AT M S There are approx. 1800 lockers available for hire at the Show. There are some located outside the Showbag Hall, you could grab one first thing, buy your showbags and pop them in there for safe keeping until it’s home time! There are 26 ATMs placed around the grounds. Most stall holders will accept card payments too.
INF OR M AT I ON Check out the Easter Show website to plan your day at show and of course, pick your favourite showbags.
When one day at the Show just isn’t enough, you can sign up as an RAS member for $154. This means you can come to the show everyday for 12 days. Please note: there is a $2.65 handling fee when purchased online. Make sure you are buying your tickets from the official Easter Show channels - Ticketmaster, Woolworths or Official Tourism Operators. See all ticket prices here.

BERTIE BEETLE WAS FIRST FORMULATED FROM THE FACTORY OF HOADLEY’S CHOCOLATE IN MELBOURNE IN THE EARLY 1960’S. BERTIE BEETLE WAS DEVISED AS A MEANS OF UTILISING THE UNUSED SHARDS OF HONEYCOMB FROM THE PRODUCTION OF VIOLET CRUMBLE. YOU COULD SAY THAT VIOLET CRUMBLE WAS BERTIE’S FATHER! Bertie Beetle first appeared as part of the Hoadley’s Chocolate Showbag in 1963 alongside Violet Crumble and Polly Waffle. This was back in the day when there were 30 odd showbags available, not the 400 you can choose from today. Foodie Heaven The Stables The Stables is awesome and this year the Sydney Royal Beer & Wine Bar is calling the Stables home. The venue will also feature pop-up eateries, chic food stalls and the Sydney Royal Corner Store. You can grab a beer, cider and wine by the glass or try something new at the whisky, gin and rum bar. We know where we’ll be.

Oysters and wine anyone? You’ll find De Costi Oyster & Tyrrell’s Wine Bar in the centre of the Woolie’s Dome. Fresh caught prawns and oysters while supping some of Australia’s finest vintages from award winning Tyrrell’s Wines.

Weird and wonderful There’s definitely no shortage of interesting options for the brave foodies. Let us introduce you to the flurrito which for those playing at home, is a fairy floss burrito and yes it looks exactly how you’d imagine. There’s also custard bombs, unicorn buns, liquid nitrogen ice cream and the world’s largest fries. All the foods you didn’t even know you were missing out on.
Food on a stick If you like to eat food on a stick, in a cone or deep-fried then boy do we have some news for you. You’ve heard of the cheese on a stick, pizza in a cone, coffee in a cone and the chip on a stick BUT have you heard of the Mac on a stick (that’s Macaroni and Cheese on a stick FYI)?! Also, the headline grabbing deep-fried lasagne from last year is back alongside a range of other deep-fried options including the Deep-fried Oreo and the Deep-fried Cheese Cake (which you’ll be pleased to know, is also on a stick). The new addition for 2019.... the Hawaiian on a stick - it’s a ham and pineapple pizza on a stick! Yep, that exists.
The Tucker Box Relax in an old rustic barn while trying the Show’s new and unique food offerings including big smokers, fire pits and roast pork at Cathy Freeman Park. With loads of seating and shade, the Tucker Box will be the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a tasty meal!
Showbags Yep, there are even showbags fit for even the pickiest foodie. The My Kitchen Rules (MKR) Showbag features a choice of branded MKR merchandise including a large Cooler Carry Bag, and a choice of 2 items from a Round Chopping Board, Water Bottle and an apron alongside a range of MKR approved food products.
