Dan River Nonprofit Network The Dan River Nonprofit Network delivers support to ensure nonprofit excellence. They believe that the Dan River Region’s nonprofits improve the health, self-sufficiency and quality of life of our community. Boys and Girls Clubs of the Danville Area The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Danville Area strive to inspire young people to realize their full potential as 34

Danville Area Humane Society Since 1984, DAHS has operated the animal shelter for the City of Danville. The shelter averages receiving 3,000 animals, including all companion animals, livestock, and exotic pets. A large group of volunteers offers enrichment activities for the shelter animals. Danville Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity DPC Habitat for Humanity utilizes community resources to build affordable housing for low-income families. Homes are constructed with thoughtful donations of labor, funds, and materials from the community. Since 1991, with the help of community volunteers, DPC Habitat for Humanity has helped over 50 families become homeowners. To get involved, call 434-793-3630.

God’s Pit Crew God’s Pit Crew delivers hope, h ealing, and restoration to hurting people in times of crisis. GPC serves approximately 175 non-profit agencies each year. Those agencies serve an additional 32,000+ local people per month. To get involved, call 434-836-4472.
God’s Storehouse God’s Storehouse serves as a food pantry and provides education to help people make healthier food choices. More than a hundred local congregations, civic groups, schools, businesses, and individuals support God’s Storehouse. To get involved, call 434-793-3663.
The Salvation Army The Salvation Army has an unwavering willingness to help those in times of trouble. Many times, when a home is overcome by fire or another disaster, people turn to the Salvation Army for assistance. To get involved, call 434-792-3963.
