With quick and resourceful help from their wedding planner, Ashley Mock, they decided to rearrange their wedding photos earlier in the week to ensure that they had sunny skies. The bonus from two different days of pictures was that Caroline got two beautiful bouquets! Even with uncertainty surrounding the storm and travel from Winston Salem, North Carolina, the couple was thrilled that Caleb’s family was able to attend the wedding as well! The couple describes the impact of the weather: “It was a very challenging week leading up to the wedding, but the day was beautiful, and there was no hurricane to be seen!”

Their intimate wedding turned out to be the perfect safe haven from the storm, with around 25 people in attendance, including most of their immediate families and the officiant and his family. They chose Valdosta because that’s where Caroline grew up, her parents still live there, and it’s where their favorite photographer, Wes Sewell, lives as well! “I grew up here in Valdosta, and Caleb moved here to be near me. It’s my home and being married in the location that I grew up in was really special.”
A tradition that they did choose to continue in their smaller, more intimate wedding plan was to light a unity candle together, as Caroline’s two older sisters also had unity candles at their weddings. The main thing they plan to remember is that the stress
