JUNIOR INCENTIVE!
Check-out page 15 for more information on our Junior incentive program.
We started Winegardner Show Cattle back in the 80’s and it is finally coming to the vision that we had for it many years ago with Tyler and Natalie on board as well as our son-in-law Kurtis and daughters Hannah and Ashlie all playing big roles in our business. We can’t forget our precious grandsons Beckett and Ryker who are good daily reminders of how much God has richly blessed our family. We believe strongly in God and traditional family values. It has been truly a blessing to work with the Reid family and the Showtimes once again. What a professional, creative and top notch publication.
We are so pleased to offer the best of our proven genetics to you and your family this Fall on the first Saturday in November. We welcome visitors any time and would love for your family to drop in, see the calves and visit with you about the vision you have for your operation. Call or text us anytime and we would be happy to answer your questions about our breeding program. May God Bless you and yours this beautiful Fall! Until we see you on November 7th! Sincerely,
The Winegardner Family

It seems that our lives become a series of annual events. Especially in the show cattle world. We look forward to the North American, Denver Stock Show, Fort Worth our state fairs, expos and respective Junior Nationals. On our local radio and TV stations every year a little ditty comes on with a corny guy singing “It’s that time of season, it’s that time of year the Allen County Fair is here. Fall is in the air and with it comes all the excitement of “It’s that time of season, it’s that time of year. Our annual Harvest of Excellence is here. This year marks number 19 for us. We are so proud of this years offering of Chianina and Maine influenced calves as well as a few Herefords, Angus and a surprise or two along the way.

We have been very fortunate as a family to have some of the very best Chiangus females that there have ever been. The Chiangus world is something that has been instilled in me considering my very first show heifer was a Chiangus from the great Harold Stanford many years ago. There is no question that if Hannah was still young enough to show, these females would not be for sale. Kurtis felt this mating would be perfect on this great young donor and man was he right. No matter what part of the industry you are living in these are plain and simple good cattle. There’s no doubt they are a little different from one another but that’s what makes the debate a lot of fun around here. Dad and I were talking the other day and we honestly can’t remember the last time Chiangus females have been the lot 1 in our sale. That’s how much we think of these two.

TR/TKM Y Not
This is Y Not’s natural calf and this March heifer obviously proves she can milk and raise a really good one on her own. This heifer calf’s structural correctness is second to none. Her basic build and functional kind combined with a great look will allow her to be so competitive no matter where you want to show her. What we love is the fact that she is dual registered, pick your poison when she enters the show ring.
WINEGARDNERSHOWCATTLE.COM
On any other year we always will make our favorite or one of our very best heifers the lot 1. That’s always a special place to us in the catalog as it’s the first cattle you see. This year is certainly no different we are just doing it with several different females and really focusing on their mother. This is TR/TKM Y Not’s first set of ET babies and are we excited. This is Hannah’s national champion Chiangus female that we purchased from Talmo Ranch. We mated this cow to several bulls to make different types that will be able to meet the needs of lots of different folks. This female is flat making them good, we can’t wait for you to see them.

Well of course we were going to mate this great cow to Swag. Not only do we own the bull and are really proud of him but from the past and present we know this bull is making the really good show heifers that are so in vogue. These two heifer calves both have that killer look from the side while still having all the power and soundness you could ever want in one. I will guarantee these two will do nothing but get better their whole lives and be worlds of fun next summer.
This heifer calf is an absolute freak. I don’t know that I have ever been around one that carries her head as high and is as perfect structured as this one. The look, mass and power this female combines is almost scary. This is the second calf out of You Can’t Fool Me. We were fortunate enough to purchase her as a heifer calf at junior nationals and then the next year she was selected as Champion Chiangus female for Lucas Wisnefski. As you can tell from my earlier foot notes these Chiangus females are some of our very best cows and this is another female that is flat working.

This female is a Harvest of Excellence success story. Dana and Sue Mason purchased Ms Ace 409Z as a heifer calf and have entrusted us in mating this female for them. We knew Dual Threat was one of the better bulls we raised and we were so excited to turn him out and let him breed a few we had especially planned for him. As you will be able to see these females are way good and this April baby is a rock star. It is so hard to make cattle this elegant and functional all in one package while be TH and PHA free as a bonus. There is no chance I would want to be showing much against this one.

What can I say about this cow that I haven’t said for the past 5 plus years? The biggest thing I can say is if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. Not only can this cow raise national champions and high sellers but what is the most prideful to me is now seeing her daughters making incredible cattle as well. This cow has been so generous to our family and Rockn J Ranch and we will always tell you no matter what that this is the best cow we have ever owned. I hope my ole buddy Rockn J makes it back to the sale to see this set one more time. Make sure you get his opinion sale day because there is none better.

These three Who Da Man heifers are simply incredible. There is no question in this industry if you are thinking of one of the best show heifer sires of all time Who Da Man has to be at the top of that list. So that’s why we keep going back to the well with this mating. As you will and have seen this genetic combo is so good and it just keeps working no matter if they are males or females and then on in the future as parents. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by to potentially own a national champion pedigree and this kind of female.

This snip nosed female is crazy cool to be around. This is Ace’s natural and boy did she raise her right. This female is so big bodied, and perfect on her feet and legs while still having that neat breeding heifer look. This is one that will run every weekend and then be a major contender next summer.

We are really starting to get into this Angus breed. I am not saying we are jumping in both feet but we are for sure dabbling, and if we are going to be a part of it, it might as well be some of the best. This Style female is an outstanding individual that I was able to get from the Cunningham family this spring. I love the killer look and body combined with a great set of feet and legs. Oh did I mention she is a full sister in blood to the reserve champion female at the Jr Nationals.

This is a half-blood female that will be a hard one to beat in the ring or as a donor later in life. From birth this female has had that extra look and body it takes to win. This is the first heifer calf that her mother has ever had and it is hard to sell this one, but as you know they are all for sale around here and we want the best for this sale. Make sure you study the basics on this female, the fun is just beginning with her.
As I stated earlier about the lot 5 female we are turning into Angus enthusiasts around here. Kurtis was able to find this female this summer at the Vaassen’s in Michigan. Boy am I glad he brought this one home. This female is so unique, to combine worlds of look and quality with a perfect set of feet and legs. 1835 has the makings of a female that could win anywhere you would want to take her. Well sometimes it’s just better to be lucky than good. After these two female’s full sib was born last year and was as good as she was we decided to breed this cow back the same way. Not very often do you breed a cow with one straw of sexed semen and get twins. And to top it off one is red and one is black and they are both really good. This Libby cow is doing a wonderful job for us and you will certainly be able to tell from these two that mama raised them right. Cody Herman and I were talking this spring and he thought that litter of calves out of her looked good and I knew that I needed one for sure for the sale. SWEET DREAMS 314C Sire: I-Believe Dam: Sweet Dreams (Monopoly x Friction x Grizz x Meyer) DOB: 03-14-2015 / Registered Chi: 8.8% Gordy called us this spring and was really excited about this first ET calves out of his Baldy Monopoly donor, so of course we were in and had to get her for the sale. This is another first calf out of Dual Threat and out of Cole Whisman’s female that was shown so successfully. 223C has that stout sound look while still being functional in her kind. This female is backed by some of our very best genetics. Take the time to study this one. She will be more than worth it when she is in production. Ms Ace 214A

We are so excited about these Dual Threat calves and we have a lot more coming for next year. This bull was just turned out with a select few heifers and he did an awesome job. This female is so neat to look at with the mass and power while having a great pedigree. Her days as a show heifer will be good but just wait until she is a cow. As a bonus she is TH and PHA Free.

219C is out of another great first calf heifer and we think a tremendous amount about this female. If you are into raising big time cattle male or female this Ringer daughter is for you. It’s so challenging to make cattle this perfectly structured and stout with the shear amount of bone she has. We feel this one will be in the donor pen real quickly and will generate lots of dollars.

As you can see these Who Da Man x Ace females are flat working for us. 225C’s mother is Dual Threats mom and the proof is in the pudding. This MAB daughter is going to be a handful to beat all winter long. The neck this heifer has is out of this world, while still having loads of body, power and structural soundness.

This is an OP daughter that stems from the heart of the Trennepohl herd. We have had a lot of fun with Adrianne and Claire showing there heifer this year and I wanted to get a really good purebred heifer for our sale. Scott sent us one and this female definitely is a good one. I love the extension and soundness for the purebred game. There is no question this female will be loads of fun in the show ring and as a mature cow.
