CHIANINA Dear Friends and Fellow Breeders: FEATURE

Welcome to the 2019 Pembrook Cattle Co. Fall Production Sale with guest Elmore Cattle Services. This sale has evolved from the Pembrook Cattle Online Angus Sale into this third annual live auction event. This unique offering is once again the collective effort of forward-thinking seedstock producers with an eye for cattle that can compete in any venture. Pembrook Cattle Company and Elmore Cattle Services, have worked together toward the common goal of assembling an offering of elite heifer and herd sire prospects that represent the best of all breeds as well as the proven donors, bred females, and fall pairs in this sale. Travis and Beth Pembrook, and their sale guests, Jason and Jennie Elmore, go the extra mile in terms of customer service to maximize the success of the juniors while making it a learning experience as well. They truly are about “putting good cattle together with great people”, and the lasting relationships with their customers and the past and current champions they have bred and sold are a testament to this fact. These females combine performance with excellent phenotype to become competitors at any level in the industry. LOTS 1-6 • Lots 1 thru 6 in this year’s offering are maternal sibs out of the $60,000 valued feature from the 2017 PCC Fall Production Sale, Evening Tinge 226 8001. Their dam is a full sister to the popular sire R&R PCC Aspect 225Z and a maternal sister to the sire of champions, PCC Witten 111A, out of the great Evening Tinge 8001 cow that has produced numerous champions including the Champion Female at the American Royal Open show for J 6 Farms, who, in turn, produced the high-selling female at Hartman sale who went on to be a many time champion for Chesney Effling. • In the 2017 and 2018 PCC Fall Production Sales, seven daughters and one son of 226 grossed $151,000 to average an impressive $18,875 and included the top-selling $75,500 ½ interest selection of Sara Sullivan, Dunlap, IA from the 2017 PCC Fall Sale who is a full sister to lots 1 thru 3 in this offering. The Tinge line continues to dominate in the show ring and then truly prove their value once in production and this might be the deepest set of 226 progeny we have offered to date. • Maternal sibs to lots 1 thru 6 lead off the SimAngus division of this offering as lots 31 thru 35.

• Lot 1 leads of three full sibs to the top-selling $75,500 ½ interest selection of Sara Sullivan, Dunlap, IA from the 2017 PCC Fall Sale. This April heifer has been a favorite of everyone that has viewed the cattle prior to the sale. Lot 1 offers the look and style needed to capture banners in the ring with exceptional extension through her front on-third, while being high-volumed, stout made and sound footed. Her body type reads of brood cow utility, as she is deep, bold hearted and robust in her upper rib shape. This, in combination to her extraordinary width and power, suggests she is sure to generate profit as both a show and donor prospect especially considering she is backed by the genetic power and consistency of the Tinge cow family. Her dam is the $60,000 valued feature from the 2017 PCC Fall Production Sale, Evening Tinge 226 8001, who is a full sister to the popular sire R&R PCC Aspect 225Z and a maternal sister to the sire of champions, PCC Witten 111A. • Sells open.

LOTS 4 & 5 Lots 4 and 5 are some of the first daughters we have offered from Schilling’s R&L Confidential, who was our private treaty acquisition at the 2018 National Western Stock Show after being named Division 1 Champion. Since that time, Confidential has been one of the most talked about young Angus sires and has made quite an impression on everyone who has seen him, and that trend should continue once people start to see his progeny and they start to collect championship hardware. The pedigree offered by these flush sisters combines our most exciting Angus genetics and these could equal or perhaps surpass the success of the Witten x Tinge mating. SCHILLING’S R&L CONFIDENTIAL

This granddaughter of Northern Improvement could be carrying her greatest one yet, considering she is bred to Crossroads, the versatile Simmental sire that is proving to be a calving ease option. • We have really appreciated the PTO sired cattle we have seen over the past several months, and to be honest, this heifer has to be our favorite. She still brings to the table the real-world traits that are making the PTO’s so popular but does so in a form and fashion that’s going to make her a standout on the green shavings one day. In terms of Red Angus show heifers that we have sold here at PCC, this female is the coolest necked and sharpest fronted of the group. To go with this, she’s way good at the ground and long sided with a super square hip and nice hind leg. As you can tell we feel like there’s a tremendous amount of upside in this female.

Not only are each one of these females unique from a phenotype standpoint, they also have a linage that tells quite a story as well. Their dam, PCC Evening Tinge 226 8001, now owned in partnership with Mark and Connie Randol, has been a top producer of champions and high sellers within our herd. Couple this with one of the most winningest sires within the Simmental breed, HOC Broker, and you have a proven recipe for success. Full Sib to these won Supreme at American Royal I believe, also champion percentage female at North American as well that year • We feel like it’s also worth noting that a full sister in blood to these females was also named Champion Percentage Simmental Female and Supreme Champion Female at the 2015 American Royal along with also being named Champion Percentage Simmental Female at the NAILE in Louisville KY for Chesney Effling of South Dakota. PCC HANNIBAL 488

• Beth and I both have a soft spot for this heifer calf. Her dam, Trixxie, is one of the winningest show heifers ever sold at PCC. Trixxie, along with her showman, Myka Blissard, and crew, cruised to multiple victories from the time she was a calf and hit the ring all the way to her retirement. They won everything from the Belt Buckle Bonanza to Supreme Female at San Antonio Livestock Show. • It’s our hope that this Trixxie can continue on with her dams winning ways. We think this female has a look all to herself within this offering and we feel like her color will certainly make her a standout among her contemporaries. As you can see by her picture this female has a beautiful outline with a lady like head and neck and is loaded with rib shape. PCC MISS JADE 422Z “TRIXXIE” DAM OF LOT 62

These heifers not only show as Shorthorn Plus but also can be shown in the high Chi division as well. The Pure Hottie cow family is no stranger to the show ring as they have stacked up wins at shows all over the nation. One of the most recent wins was Champion Shorthorn Plus Female at the 2019 Oklahoma Youth Expo, shown by Reece Richardson. • Their dam, SULL Pure Hottie 7033, was a past Denver, NAILE and Jr. National Champion Shorthorn Plus Female. She stems from the popular Vegas/Stockman 898 mating that produced all of the blue roan females that dominated the Shorthorn Plus division throughout the country for over a decade. • We are excited to see what the future holds for this set of females and their new owners!
