LEARNING FROM

MAHATMA GANDHI DR. SHRINIWAS KASHALIKAR

It is said that Mahatma Gandhi preached that you don’t see, hear or speak ill about any one. I have given some explanation about this in my book “Stress: Understanding and Management”. But more recently I have begun to realize that the essence of this preaching is; when you start “seeing” the root of the apparent universe, through the practice of SADHANA such as NAMASMARAN; you begin to realize that the people whom you used blame or revere; are actually driven by the root cause called MAHAKARAN and manifest

according to their constitutions on which they have no control. This perception leads to two things. Firstly; you stop getting agitated because of the apparent chaos and disturbances around you and acting violently or feeling helpless; and secondly; you realize that the radical solution to the problem is intensifying your SADHANA such as NAMASMARAN so that you get merged with the MAHAKARAN and see everything as a reflection of the MAHAKARAN. I might not have agreed on this earlier; you also may not agree. It is worthwhile however to try the practice

of NAMASMARAN and verify the validity of these observations.
