Project : The Future of Mixed-Income High Rise (Design Studio Fall 2021)
Project type : Collaborative Project, Academic Location : Chicago, USA
Mentor : Professor Thomas Brock
Softwares : AutoCAD, SketchUP, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop+Illustrator, V-Ray, Lumion
Design Brief :
This studio was about building design in the city, focusing specifically on the kinds of dense dwelling conditions that the city allows for and from which it often prospers. Each team was given a strategy term based on which the though process of the structure should go around. Ours was ENCAPSULATION.
01
DESIGN CONCEPTUALIZATION
When presented with the task of creating an architectural ode to encapsulation, we though first of the various interpretations of the word, especially between nature and those of the built environment.
STUDIO,
We found that the formation juxtaposition of organic and geometric variation, based around material ingenuity and their proven psychological effects, gave us an opportunity to establish a unique hierarchy of encapsulated spaces.
ATRIUM LOUNGE
DOG PARK (ONE EVERY TWO FLOOR HIERARCHY)
GAMING ARCADE
OUTDOOR SIT OUT SPACE
We divided this into micro and macro, personal and communal zones during strategic planning. The first ten storeys housed hostel accommodation units, and the residential block begins above that. In an urban context, we wanted to make sure that the landscape element was not overlooked, so we chose a vertical green south atrium that included all of the communal zones.

THE POD
The pods, suspended from a hyperrigid timber structure, embody the smallest scale of encapsulation, pod subtractions from the east-west patterns create more intimate community zones for intermediary ideas, while the south atrium acts as a forum for the fostering of a vertical community.

Project : Thesis Research Design 2020
Project Type : Individual, Academic
Location : Uttar Pradesh, India
Mentor : Prof. Dipali Rangwade
Software : AutoCAD, SketchUP, Adobe Photoshop, V-Ray, Lumion
Design Brief :
The goal of this project is to address the causes of global warming in India. This facility concentrates on upcycling Argo Waste, which would otherwise be burned off in the fields in order for the next crop cycle to begin, resulting in the release of greenhouse gases. After doing some investigation, I learned that wastes may be used as a building block for green materials, which is what the factory + research block focuses on.

Project : Mass Housing (Design Studio 2019)
Project Type : Individual, Academic
Location : Mumbai, India
Mentor : Ar. Akash Dudhe
Softwares : AutoCAD, SketchUP, Adobe Photoshop, V-Ray, Lumion
Design Brief :
This project looks at addressing various qualitative and quantitative issues of Massing in Mumbai. It also aims to understand and tackle the changes in ownership patterns to achieve a more holistic community.
03
DESIGN CONCEPTUALIZATION
The mass housing have various units ranging from single occupancy co-living units to 3 to 5 occupancy family units. The main concept behind this project is to portray how different typologies could still live under the same roof together.
To visually portray togetherness, Circle would be the closest Geometry to do so. Direction of wind flow Tunnel Effect created, thereby wind flow gushes into the structure.
The structure facing the water body has less height so as not to obstruct the wind from flowing to the structure Behind.
Further openings provided for better ventilation throughout the structure. These opening form interactive spaces on the floor plans as well.
LEGEND
Rather than a traditional block, the Whirl Housing block stacks all ingredients of a lively urban neighborhood into horizontal layers of typologies connected by a highlighted communal areas on each floor instead of just housing a common space on its podium or ground level. These open spaces are designed in such a way that they do not over lap each other rather form a spiral band as seen in the axonometric view as well creating a three-dimensional urban neighborhood.

COMMUNITY CENTER
Project : Community Center (Design Studio 2017)
Project Type : Individual
Location : Mumbai, India
Mentor : Ar. Suraj Kadam
Software : AutoCAD, SketchUP, Adobe Photoshop, V-Ray
Design Brief :
This project addresses a center for the local people around the vicinity where people with common belief tend to gather for various events. Say group activities, social support campaigns and other social services.

Bavent Flat Roof
Mud Rolls
Wooden Battens
The concept of this project was to achieve a minimalistic design so that it is welcoming for the local people there. The materials used for the structure are locally sourced.
DESIGN STRATEGIES
Instead of normal pitched roof, the roof is inverted. In doing so a visual connection is still maintained with the nature outside. Double height-ed structure, hence natural stack effect achieved.

Wooden Columns
The structure is laterally supported by wooden columns which further provide support to the battens as well
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Project : Residential Project - Sales Gallery
Location : Dhaisar, Mumbai, India
Architectural Firm : SSA Architects
Software : AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUP
Design Brief :
Nested along the hustle and bustle of the cars on National Highway, near Dhaisar. A very unique outstanding residential stand tall. The Sales Gallery has flexibility as one of its design aspect, this would later be then retained as the Club House with Multi-Purpose Hall, Gym and Pool, saving time efforts and costs.
