The main idea of the proposed program is to create a center which makes one experience the amalgamation of all the cultures in India. The center will offer the visitors visual experiences, hands on workshops, learning about the various cultures, their history and background in a more interesting way. The center will have museums, workshops, restaurants, small theatre rooms and library. The center can have positive impacts such as: •Create interest in one community about multiple cultures. •Develop sense of community. •People with many cultural backgrounds would gather and communicate in a single center. •Exchange of ideas and customs throughout the country. •A new experience for people and gets some knowledge about their own country.

The program intends in proposing a secondary program for Bhandup Railway Station as well as redesigning the station. Considering the amount of footfall the station caters to, a developed more architecturally advanced and safer railway station design is proposed. The program consists of two parts : 1) Railway Station 2) Secondary Program The secondary activites were proposed keeping in mind the functionality of the station when the footfall will be low. Activites such as gym, cafes, workspaces, etc are planned without disturbing the main function of the station but at the same time making the station more lively place to be in.

The project designed was luxuryhousing, at hinjewad in Pune. The housing project consisted of 15 villas, row houses, 3 and 4 bhk apartments and penthouse. The design aimed at providing the occupants with ultimate luxury - huge spaces, views and vistas, easy of living. The design aimed at providing an utmost comfortable lifestyle for the occupants. It helped us to understand different high end materials, technologies and different amenities which can be implemented in a luxury apartment.

The intention of this project was to map the existing landuse plan of GOTHIVALI GAOTHAN at Rabale, Navi Mumbai and analysing the same. Then after, Studying different concepts of town planning, a new landuse plan was proposed. Town Planning rules and regulations of Navi Mumbai were refered.

MAPPING

The pie charts show the division of Land use in single zone of Gothivali. Maximum Landuse is alloted for residential buildings. Green spaces are minimum

ELEMENTS USED

PROPOSAL

LANDUSE PROPOSAL PLAN FOR GOTHIWALI

ELEMEMTS OF RADBURN CONCEPT

NAVI MUMBAI POLYCENTRIC APPROACH

The success of navi mumbai lies in the approach adopted while it ’s planning. Considering the massive scale of navi mumbai project and to avoid a mumbai like situation of activity concentration caused by a mono-centric development model, the planners adopted polycentric nodal pattern of development. The polycentric approach based on principle of decentralization. It avoids concentration of population.

CONCEPTS

The proposal for planning includes regulatios wise distribution of residential commercial and recreational spaces. Other than that the locations of aminites like school, hospital, bank, fire station, police stations, public and semipublic spaces, markets, busstops and rickshaw stands are marked in plan very stratigically cosidering the flow of traffic and pedestrian crowd at certain location.

Super block Peripheral road system – access roads Park areas walkways

ELEMEMTS OF GARDEN CITY CONCEPT

Social mix and Maximum community facilities Working space while maintaining natural qualities

ELEMEMTS OF GRID IRON CITY CONCEPT Straight streets crossing at right angles to create many regular city blocks Flexible movement of people and product through the city Easy and high accessibility

PROPOSAL

ROAD FROM NEIGHBOURING GRID PLAN

Planning considering the 500 m area around gothiwali. Merging the new city with surrounding streetscape and grid planning

ZONING

CONCEPT FOR PROPOSAL

PLANNING OF PROPOSED SECTORS

20 22

PROPOSAL SECTOR PLANNING Each sector consists of an open space, accessible by the locals through an internal pathway. The internal pathway connects to the open spaces throughout each sectors. Commercial bands are placed along the external pathways for easy acctessiblity , and convieneince.

SECTOR PLANNING

Hierarchy planning Allotment of each plot to specified building typologies. Views to each individual typology.

The proposed landuse plan consists total of 3016 residential units. It includes bunglows, row houses and Mid rise residential Buildings.

In semester VI, we considered the design project previously designed and did working drawings for the same. It gave us information about how things happen in practice and helped us understand the minute detailing of any design.
