DESIGN DETERMINANTS 1. Field of Play Orientation.
The core design vision for the project is to design a wholesome environment for the State Sports meets which are held for differently abled athletes every year In Mumbai. Here, wholesomeness stands for the spaces, design features such as ramps that are accessible and usable by all. This wholesomeness can be symbolized by a circle which is effectively depicted by the “wheel of the wheelchair.”
2. HighTidal Line- 38.27m away from the site. CRZ II Zone - 15% Permissible Built-up 3. Existing water body on site.
ZONING - 1.Athletic & Football Stadia as Central Core of the wheel, thus, located centrally at the site. Zoning done such that private-training cells & public-stadium exist in harmony together instead of restricting each others activity.
2.Shifted the stadium to the south to achieve the circular shape of the wheel & views of the existing water body on site. Maintaining the ecology by preser -ving the existing water body on site 3.Shifted the stadium to the north to achieve 15% built-up in CRZ II Zone as per CRZ II Zone regulations. Arrangement of fields of play & spaces in radial format.
This Para Sports Complex includes sports facilities such as athletic track and fields, football field, aquatic centre, indoor and outdoor archery, etc.
