Multiple public transport facilities are available to reach this site. The site is surrounded by roads on all 4 sides. There are multiple bus stops around the site, and one inside the site as well. These facilities make the site highly approachable. Approach to Site There is predominant pedestrian movement inside the site. Vehicular and bus routes are restricted to the periphery of the site. Even ramps to the basements are along the periphery. The metro line runs under the public urban realm on ground level. Designed with the Urban Farm concept of merging nature and human space, weaves its way into the daily life of city dwellers through the intelligent geometry A green urban valley complex with a ‘street landscape mix’ as a highlight in the architectural space. The ‘roof’ is split into different scales and connected in various heights It makes every place within walking distance while creating a new value of developing the urban network, in the rapid development in Shanghai. Primarily comprising of Offices, Cyber city has further potential of attracting corporate offices of companies having industrial plants in these sectors. The workforce of these offices may reside nearby in other residential development sectors. Commuting from Delhi to Cyber City is made easier through its strategic location near NH48. Strategic Location: 16 lane expressway on NH48 Accessible from both south and central Delhi. Well connected to Metro. Close proximity to 5 star hotels like Trident and Oberoi. CONTEXT
The fabric of the site is in contrast to the surrounding areas. The neighbouring areas are majorly residential with footprint of about 300 sqm and 3 storeys high. The site is a mixed use development with broader footprints and the average building height being 15 storeys. Relatively the site has less ratio of built to open spaces compared to the context and large areas of built landscapes. Over the years significant densification can be noUnderpass to take U turn and access site. Allows for fast moving uninterrupted traffic. Different modes of movement are concentric to avoid clash of different levels of movement. Separate entry and exit points to ease vehicular Congestion. Office Access is completely separate from the public, so is the entry to basement parking. No zebra crossings are provided on the main roads and the site can only be accessed by pedestrians through a few sky walks. This causes a disconnect between pedestrians and the context, increasing vehicular use and congestion. The central Retail and FnB is surrounded by built mass along its edges. It concentrates the more public functions in a central nucleus inviting people from all edges. The rising buildings provide a backdrop to the central busy nucleus in a stepped manner so that the built mass CASE STUDY
