Working at the Rec of SHSU is an absolute blessing. As the Coordinator of Informal Recreation, my job involves a lot of customer service for our patrons. It's a good feeling to see our students, staff, faculty, etc. come and use our facility, and watch them grow not just on a physical level, but on a social and mental one as well. Whether they're veteran Bearkats or their first time ever inside our facility, I know that they'll be walking in to a true experience. I'm privileged to say that our students are a big part of that.

Students who are looking to learn more about Sam Houston as well as themselves should definitely apply for a job here at Rec Sports. Not only will we help you maintain a level of livelihood, but we will also encourage and instill a number of transferable skills that help you once you graduate. Challenge yourself by working with other Bearkats from different walks of life; take pride in providing a truly unique service to Sam Houston State.
