• Inhibits learning of other students. • Causes disruption in classroom. • Creates a threat to network (including data, services and applications and equipment. • Unethical use (cheating, plagiarism)


• 1st Offense: Warning • 2nd Offense: No device for 1 week • 3rd Offense: No device 60 days th • 4 Offense: Permanent loss of privilege.

• Failure to submit device to any teacher or office staff for inspection can result in loss of device privileges.


• Devices are property of students/parents who are responsible to manage and updates, installations, repairs or virus removal.


• The district will not be held liable for any damage, vandalism or theft of any device brought into the district.

The district will handle any incidents using guidelines in place for any personal property.



All devices except smartphones must be Registered through the library.


We will keep the serial number on file in case you lose your device at school.


Go by the library and pick up a BYOD packet to take home.


• Have parents complete the agreement and sign. • Return it to the library with your device before or after school.


We will configure device.

• Label with a “Digital Driver’s License” sticker •

1.Notify your classroom teacher right away to see if it can be located in the class before the bell rings. 1.Not found? Report it to Mrs. Thornton or Mrs. Johnson in the library right away.

• You will be give your own GPISD Login/password to access GPISD secure wireless network. • Support for wireless setup will be provided before/after school only in the library.


• Students are not allowed to help their peers set up GPISD Secure wireless on their devices by providing login information.

• All students must go through the library.
