INTRODUCTION

Born and brought up in Mumbai, I completed my Bachelor Studies from Mumbai University, I have experiences of working in creative design studios in Mumbai and Tokyo, Working with small scale studios in Mumbai and also completing few freelance projects, I percieve the confidence and ability to independtly handle and manage projects. I am very dedicated to places I work with and also very flexible with timings, I belive in working for the betterment of the firm, which also helps me to understand my capabilities and makes me push myself. I am very interested in sustainable and futuristic projects which involves parametricism, that me being said I am also a big fan of Minimalist architecture, so I always try to blend both for my design proposals Currently I am looking forward to work for a multinational firm with projects around the world, and also intend to work for more than 2 years. I would like to achieve a good understanding of an architectural project from begining to end. Thankyou

Sou Fujimoto Architects - Tokyo Boutique Hotel

Shiroya Hotel is a boutique hotel located in Japan, It comprises of 23 rooms with 2 Saunas, Restaurant, and many features The hotel comprises of 2 buildings, One existing which is refurbished to new design and one new building which is modeled around a hill like design, involving landscape design with it. The new building stands out from the surrounding, with its unique form and standalone huts. The design process was very exciting which involved making physical models to study and develop the form, The new building which resembles a small hill from outside, but has completely functiong hotel insides, gives a refreshing approach to architecture design and shows how can we create with nature The exisiting building is broken down to slabs and structural elements and new spiral staircases added in the atrium changes the boring lobby to a interesting piece with mazes of staircases.

Shroffleon - Mumbai

Community Development Centre

Samhita is a Non profit Organization set up in Bhopal working towards the development of Rural households with focus on skill development and personality development helping people to develop themselves so that they can become self sustaianble. The Design Brief was simple yet challenging, because of the harsh climatic conditions and low budget. The design proposition looks to use readily availabe construction materials, as well as techniques which do not require high quality machinery and expertise. Reducing the green loads of the building was kept in mind while deisgning which lead to incoperate passive design techniques. Though being a pro-bono project, the firm believes in helping the NGO with any architectural expertise required for the project. A brief study of local materials and climate was done before even starting the basic planning. Bamboo, Brick Jaali, Terracota and concrete are the materials used for the project.

Island / India Thesis - Lakshdweep

Eco Resort for Sustaianble Island Development

The dissertation revolves around developing an island that is self sufficient by all means and further investigates the possibility of creating a self sustainable island focusing on aspects that are very important to humans namely social, economic and environmental factors and their connection to architecture. The transformation of Bangaram Island located in the heart of Lakshdweep serves as a theoretical example of interdependence, natural beauty and a far more potent location for self sustainability. It will be a new hybrid island comprising of facilities which maintains its feel and nature, hosting tourism, housing as well as community facilities. The design proposal follows different stages with an ultimate goal of integrating a modern facility based island with a consumption factor of nothing but its self generated resource
