The Learning Continuum is an amalgamation of a instituion which could also cater to public needs as and when required. It accomodates program from classrooms to an open canteen from private to public. The idea is to blur the boundaries between the formal and the informal spaces, be it from a classroom or a playground or a multipurpose hall.

The intent of the studio is to have the students to study the life, activities, engagements of people. Study the people as individuals, family and community of families. To use the knowledge to shape the architecture of the housing in a manner that, the family binds as an entity within the unit and the community binds as a collective. This made possible through articulation of space and form, that the routine activities of life are sustained and encouraged.

Every room is connected to the other visually making the family together as a whole, while still retaining the idea of the “display getting seen from every corner of the house.

The perspective on intent of the studio was to design spaces of varied scales. The Idea was to have three scales, the personal, the Family and finally the community scale. They have been dealt in the project by having a unit with varrying heights, where one can have their personal space whereas also overlook into the family corner. Similar stratergy has been used with when the units have been put together, the units interlooking at each other with varrying heights.
