BioT
BioT is an eco friendly toilet designed for the people of India. These are easy to
build and maintain toilets that addresses to the problem of open defecation in our country.

This project was offered by Arkin Creation Pv. Ltd. The brief was to develope a
the waste is decomposed in 4 stages
toilet around the Bio-Digester. The Bio-Digester is film of bacteria that decomposes human faeces-developed by DRDO. Cost constraints were put and use of locally available materials was suggested.
waste enters the tank into the 1st chamber
this tank is for a family of 4-5 with a volume of 1000L
the tank body is made in FRP
waste converted into water and gas escapes into the ground
2nd and 3rd stage
passage to flow into the next chamber
the door mats greatly increases the surface area which provides space for formation of bacteria colonies(more bacteria)
the walls and the separating pads are covered with plastic door mats which acts as the surface on which the film of bacteria is laid
this aids in faster decomposition of waste
30Deg incline-separates urine from solid waste
carries urine into the ground
Advantages minimal smell-urine is the major reason for foul smell the digester fills up slowly thereby extending maintenence time dry waste decomposes faster less water requirement
waste falls directly into the digester. flushing not required
Sylli
Sylli was conceived during our explorations with bamboo. We studied and explored it’s material qualities and created a scocial space within our campus.
Initial explorations
The anti-clastic surface is covered by jute, woven into a cloth
Cool-Buoy
Cool-Buoy is a very unconventiol evaporative air cooler both
in looks and the way it functions
cooling pads require periodic replacing
are big and bulky and require a considerable amount of space
Problems with existing air coolers
the moist pads sometimes serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes
reduces efficiency and emits bad odour if cooling pads are not replaced
water is fed to the nozzles through this pipe
fan
safety grill
controls water is forced through the nozzles and is released through these perforations
mist creating nozzles pump water pipe
removable outer case
Cool-Buoy consumes less space and is more efficient. It converts the water directly into a fine mist and throws it. This gives instant cooling in a short time.
frame
water tank
functions like ordinary fan without the tank
Cool-Buoy is very space efficient. conventional coolers are bulky
and can’t be
kept in the corners because that would block the intake port. cool-buoy can be kept anywhere.
the free space can be utilized for various purposes
Poo-shUp
Poo-shUp is a smart iron that makes the mundane task of ironing clothes quicker and safe
accidental cloth burns if left switched on carelessly
skin burns if not careful with the hot metal plate
have to keep it upright after use and also prevent it from toppling
outer body made of ABS
compression springs
Poo-shUp takes care of the above mentioned problems in a very simple way without adding additional complexity. There is no new learning curve that the user has to familiarise him/her self with. Manufacturebility is also not an issue.
balls made of thermoset polymers/ceramic
when not in use the springs create a distance between the cloth and the hot surface
when ironing, the force applied is enough to compress the springs and the balls roll smoothly over the surface of the cloth.
Blossom
Despite the environmental pressures of the early 90’s, sanitary protection is still being made from more and more plastic. There is,therefore, the need to rise consumer awareness
Existing Product layer 1
layer 2
Perforated low density PE
cellulose pulp
layer 3
the product comes in a plastic pack with pads wrapped in individual plastic (poly-ethylene)
cellulose+SAP(super absorbent polymer)
layer 4
low density PE prevents leak
Usage
Final Product
wings are seperate and permanent. the absorbent layer is only replaced
Disposal
Product strengths one wing lasts one cycle absorbent layer only need to be replaced easy usage and disposal reduction in plactic content and cost
BuBBle
Eye drops are notoriously difficult to self administer.
BuBBle might be the answer.
with both the problem of blinking and accuracy taken care of-the user can now take care of the pressure applied and administer the correct dosage
the hole on the top fixes the bottle right above the eye aiding in accurate dispensing
the cup snugly fits between the eyebrows and the cheek thereby restricting blinking
compatible with both the glass and plastic bottle minimal cost and easy to manufacture
Step I
widen your eyes with two fingers
Step II
then place BuBBle on your eyes and administer

Product material
silicon rubber(preferrable opaque because we don’t blink if we don’t see the drop comming)
OttOman
The stool, is not comfortable for long time sitting. Lack of lumbar support creates a stooping posture which is incorrect .
Conceptualisation
back support extends to the 1st lumbar ensuring an upright position frame made of pipes-less weight and maximum strength
the seat profile ensures comfort to the thighs
step-wise bending process
KnapSack
Carrying heavy loads up a flight of stairs is a daunting task. A domestic gas cylinder is no different. KnapSack is an attempt to ease the delivery of cylinders to homes.
