ou have many other details to worry about on your wedding day - so let us take the stress out of your photography planning.
We work closely with our couples to help them plan a schedule that works in with the rest of the planned festivities and include advice on locations and styling that compliment the overall character and aesthetics of your wedding. how long should you allow for photography on your wedding day? Aside from the candid & photojournalistic photography that happens during the ceremony and throughout the day - the main photography sessions can be broken into 2 parts - the ‘befores’ and the ‘afters’. The ‘befores’ are the perfect chance to get those gorgeous pre-wedding portraits of the bride, groom and bridal party. It is best set aside roughly 45 mins for these dedicated photos prior to leaving for the ceremony. For the ‘afters’ and often the most important part of your wedding photography schedule - it is essential that sufficient time is allowed to truely capture the love and feeling from your day. Our suggested timeline is as follows; family group session - 30mins full bride, groom and bridal party session - 45mins * bride and groom session - at least 1 hour (it is ideal for this time to slightly overlap sunset) * please note that during the bride and groom session we encourage our couples to consider shooting this session at a predetermined location - seperate to the bridal party. In this distraction free environment we feel it is much easier for couples to express themselves so that we can capture the romance of their day.

Coverage:
We believe that each and every wedding should be covered in full detail from bridal preparation right through into your reception. With this in mind we don’t offer set timelimits - we are fleixible and can discuss your needs upon consultation. Second Photographer: 2 photographers = more coverage and different perspectives. A single photographer cannot be everywhere at once, which is why Shutter + Lace choose to shoot as a team, to double our chances of getting ‘the’ shot. Photography Consultation: A pre-wedding consultation (preferably over a latte) is encouraged to discuss the finer details of your day. In this meeting we will cover everything from the schedule, locations and everything in between. Enagagement Photography Session: Feeling comfortable with your photorapher - helps achieve beautiful images with a relaxed feel. An engagement session gives you a little practice before the big day - plus can double as ‘save the date’ cards or to be used as a creative display at your reception. We invite our couples to have a little fun with this - dress up, have a picnic...go bowling! Digital Negatives: Depending on the length of time dedicated to the photo sessions you should receive approx 400 digitally enhanced images with minor retouching. These images will be a mix of colour and black and white and may include fine art style editing - depending on the style of the wedding. The images that are chosen for an extra processing will be at the photographer’s discression. The image will be provided on a DVD and contain low res (for emailing and social media) and high res (for printing). The DVD is presented in a gorgeous high gloss case with 10 slide mini album.
Raincheck? Although most photographers welcome the filtered light that cloud cover provides, we do not welcome the onset of torrential rain. But of course it does happen‌..If it is pouring outside, we will of course do our best to make the most of what we have to work with, but sometimes it just isn’t the same. Which is why we offer a Raincheck session* This base photography package is $1900 for locations within 100km of Brisbane. If the location is outside of this range, interstate or international - please contact us for travel quote. We are more than happy to travel for your wedding.
