The pipe-structure is formed by series of integral space truss, supported by 3d columns. The fluctuating shape actually brings possibility for an interactive landscape mode, in which the panels making the roof could be moved along the rails to make this open space more vivid, as well as to change inside environments to adjust atmosphere, environment, and even programme.

SUSTAINABLE BUILDING Under the circumstances of high criterion for architectural sustainability, the integration of energysaving technologies is becoming a new trend. The project mainly focuses on how to transform an old industrial building to an office building with the help of passive energy-saving technologies. It analyses the effects of several renovation strategies from aspects of indoor ventilation environment, lighting environment and thermal environment by using green software like Airpak and Ecotect to generate an optimized scheme for renovation.

DESIGN WITH DETAIL


Structure System

As the only overarching construction in the whole area, the building plays the role of a beacon tower as well as a bridge. It not only literally leads people from north to the south, from farm to the urban context, what's m o re, i t m e t a p hys i c a l l y s h ows the overarching significance of education. It overlooks the wall and the farm, showing off the power of education, and makes people believe it is unique and it can change the community.
