The Prospect Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC) had a great 2011. We just completed our seventh year as an organization and continue to look forward to providing valuable services to our members and the community as a whole. This was also our sixth year of hosting our Community Expo. We had over 800 people attend this event, more than ever before. In addition to this, we raised $1500 for Best Buddies Kentucky with proceeds from the Annual Golf Outing. We appreciate Fuzzy Zoeller’s support of this activity. The community and membership really make this a great event! The 2012 PACC Golf Scramble will be September 14th at Eagle Creek Golf Course. Our Community Directory is another way that the chamber gives back to the community. Over 10,000 directories are mailed out to homes and businesses in the Prospect, Goshen and Harrods Creek areas each January and serve as a valuable source of information. The second annual “Strong Leadership — Strong Women” is scheduled for March 8, 2012 and we anticipate an even larger group of area women to attend this event celebrating International Women’s Day. In closing, 2012 is shaping up to be another successful year for our chamber. The Oldham Era is focusing attention on our area, and is planning some “get to know you” activities. We’re looking forward to an even bigger and better Community Expo on May 17th and hope to see you there.
