To All Our Friends of the Animals: We thank you so much for purchasing our calendar and helping us bring awareness to the issue of pet overpopulation. We are seeing a reversal of this problem and your contribution helps us realize our goal. We thank you for adopting our animals and making each life a “good one”. A big THANK YOU to those who submitted photos of their pets. “Within the heart of every stray lies the singular desire to be loved.” God bless you and your hearts, Kathy Noble, President

Each summer Rockport Center for the Arts hosts “ArtLink for Kids and Teens,” a free art camp for Aransas County children in grades 1-8. Local campers explore a different topic in visual arts each summer and create a variety of art projects during the two week program. The 2012 camp celebrated the program’s 15th season. This year’s calendar judges were campers from the July morning 4th and 5th grade class. This free summer program is funded by contributions from The Margaret Sue Rust Foundation, Coastal Bend Community Foundation, and Texas Commission on the Arts.

Miss Addie
Hi I’m Addie. My parents found me on the English Springer Rescue America website. I was living in Houston. As with most pets, there is an adjustment period for the humans as well as the pets. I am glad my new parents had the patience to love and let me grow.

Studies have shown that their companionship can improve mood, health, activity, and reduce stress. The Humane Society and Adoption Center of Rockport/Fulton believes that every pet should have a home, and offer affordable adoptions of our furry friends, complete with vaccines, spay/neuter and more! For more information on how you can adopt or volunteer information call 361-729-8186.

“Saving just one pet won’t change the world ...but surely the world will change for that one pet.” - unknown
in 1988 by a small group of very dedicated animal lovers with the intention of helping abandoned, homeless and helpless animals enjoy a better life. We started in a small store front and subsequently moved to our present location - 3.5 beautifully treed acres on Myrtle Street in Fulton. We have a unique shelter because the animals are free to run and play in their yards. We are a “no kill” facility and house approximately 75 dogs and 80 cats and kittens. We are very pleased that our efforts with the aggressive spay/neuter program in conjunction with the county have reduced the euthanasia rate in Aransas County.
Mission Statement:
The Humane Society & Adoption Center of Rockport-Fulton is dedicated to promoting humane treatment of companion animals by providing socialization, food, shelter and medical care in a comfortable setting until “forever” homes can be found for them. We are committed to an aggressive spay/neuter program to bring us closer to our goal of a “no kill” community and county where every adoptable animal is part of a loving, responsible home.
