The Lost Art of Fashion
The ‘Lost Art of Fashion’ depicts the different levels within the fashion industry from high street to couture and how this evolution has been manipulated by many external factors; such as commerciality, economics, popularity, wealth and supply and demand causing the classic elements of couture to be lost. To understand why couture is considered a ‘dying art’, I have explored these juxtapositions in a series of pieces that portray how the aesthetic of clothing metamorphisises between the heirachial levels of fashion.
