TRIBUTE FROM DOROTHY COAKLEY LIFELONG FRIEND.
Elva was my dear and lifelong friend and my best friend when she passed away.
Elva did not let much stand in the way of living a beautiful life, filled with kind deeds and the best laugh God ever created.
My many fond memories of Elva are carved permanently in my heart. I can never forget her.
She was a faithful, true friend who called me every day before she took ill. Often hers was the first voice I heard in the morning and the last one I heard at night. She insisted that she was looking out for me and never once did I doubt her sincerity.
In my most profound moments of grief, Elva was relentless in somehow always breaking through any crowd, no matter how large, to find her way to my side to comfort me. To hold me steady. I still feel the tenderness and strength of her graveside embrace almost 10 years ago as if it were yesterday.
I will continue to pray for the return of that feeling, to keep and comfort me and give me the strength to wake in the morning and go back to sleep at night without hearing the happy familiar voice of my dear best friend.
I will miss her but I will never forget her. DOR
Elva, my GOOD, GOOD, GOOD Friend, service to God and mankind, were your watchwords and the mantra by which you raised your children.
You believe in education and along with your husband, produced TWO of the finest in the land with Dr. Gemma Rolle as a specialist and Andrew Rolle as a Barrister-at-Law who can practice globally.
You were sooo adament about education that you offered to pay my children’s school fees at St. Andrews School BUT, my heart could not allow you to do that.
Tracee, my darling, I’m not going to leave you out. You had a special place in your mamma’s heart because everytime your mamma and I had a conversation, Tracee was priority.
I’m a living testimony that Elva LOVED her children and grandchildren.

Before we talk about anything, Elva would talk about her children and grandchildren from their date of birth to what they were doing at that point in time.
Elva would call me in the morning and ask me to go to Gemma’s house and bring her grandchildren to spend time with her.
I could go on and on and on but I’ll stop here.
But, before I close, I CANNOT forget her dear husband, Anthony “BOOZIE” Rolle.
There was NEVER a conversation WITHOUT Elva mentioning “Boozie.”
So Elva, the time has come when I MUST say “GOODBYE.”
I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU!
Farewell, farewell, farewell.
May your Soul Rest in Eternal Peace+
