hello!
My name is Siddharth, I'm an Architecture student from SEDA Navrachana University, Vadodara. From what I have learned in college, I believe architecture is about problem solving and structural thinking, rather than just a good, eye-catching out look. I have become passionate to create spaces that can increase human well-being.
I consider myself an organized person, and a fast, independent learner. From the experiences, I have realized I'm an eager person and very adappve to various tasks given both individually and in groups. I believe I'm a responsible and creaave person, who is quite aaennve to details. About personal interest, I love hand-drawings and architectural rendering, so I am always eager to improve my skills in those area. I am constantly curious about different cultures and places that exist around the world, and because of that, I love learning new languages and always open myself for new knowledge.

As the site is between such a monumental context, its has an opposite nature. On the one end the form of the building is close to the road and on the other end it is far away from it. So I wanted to place my block to the northern end so that the southern end does not look heavily crowded.
Concept Development
Visitor Centre Place to exhibit the city. Project Type : Individual Date : August 2021 (Semester 7) Guided by Advaita Jalan, Rutvi Patel.
The visitor center is the representation of spaces with varying degree of publicness and ideology of nature of function is houses. Here, programmatic interpretation, the users and their accessibility to the place is of important. But the exploration and expression of architectural language is core of the exercise based on ideology which is of utmost significance. The project aims to design a visitor center with multi level exhibition space based on our city and with taste of cultural and heritage past of Vadodara with an space to connect or communicate informal in the campus with space to host multiple events based on city to attract more people and also to educate the younger generation on the city cultural and heritage past.

Concept Development
Institutional as a place is inquire from the spaces it connects from inside.
Looking at the movement into different spaces through diagrams.
Using extended walls to connect and separate spaces.
Plan Development Stages. Initially, spaces were in hierarchy of circles according to purpose they serve, divided by walls.
Institutional Design Centre for young adults.
Book reading space came up as central space and the rest became external spaces around.
Project Type : Individual Date : May 2021 (Semester 6) Guided by Pragya Shankar, Ashna Patel.
The library as a public institution has evolved over time in order to remain relevant in the digital information age. The role of public library in society has been reinvented from that of a traditional repository of knowledge to a more holistic social place with new dimensions that encourage interaction and collaboration through exchange of ideas along with hosting a number of cultural, recreational and outreach activities. The intent of this project is to look at the library specifically as an institution that appeals to the youth by being part of a larger program of a ‘Centre for Young Adults’. The idea of public library, should be to create a space that is shared by all nature of people and must be welcoming enough, to bring people to use that space.
14
Development in the roof structure came up, and spaces started connecting on levels.
Finally the walls followed the structural grid and the central reading space connected different spaces around.

Conceptualizing the spaces, quality of light, and the familiarity of people to the bath house space.
Explorations in sections.
Bath House Bathing spaces for daily labours. Project Type : Individual Date : March 2021 (Semester 6) Guided by Pragya Shankar, Ashna Patel.
Public baths have become incorporated into the social system as meeting places. As the title suggests, public bathing does not refer only to bathing. In ancient times public bathing included saunas, massages and relaxation therapies, comparable to today’s spas, The immediate need for a “public bath” in today’s time according to me is for the construction or manual labor workers. As contradicting to the Roman times when upper class people were considered to visit such public bath for cleaning them self. After referring to the Richard Nuetra’s plan making process, the walls became important element to create an open plan.

Site Understanding.
The site is located in the Kada Dam, Jambughodha. The site is a water reservoir surrounded by the mountain ranges of Jambughodha, which makes it a beautiful location for a Eco- resort to come up. The site is a very undisturbed patch of greens with a good ecosystem of various types of plans and tress and even wildlife. I particularly selected the site close to the water body, so that people actually fell connected with the element of the site and not only keep it as views.
Bamboo Construction Joineries.
Matrix Eco-tourism Campsite at Jambhughoda, Gujarat. Project Type : Individual Date : December 2019 (Semester 3) Guided by Renuka Oka.
Matrix is the method of designing, where the process calls for issues to be identified in the given project. Instead of thinking in a holistic way, each issue is reacted upon individually. Matrix is a very analytical approach towards space making. The given site is decoded throughout using a grid based system where issues are cross referenced with multiple solution and overlapping the best cross sections before one reaches the final form. The form is always the outcome of the matrix. Initially the environmental aspects were looked at and the issues were identified. Then the individual solutions for each issue is prioritized and finally put together to create a physical form.

Housing Community Mass Housing Project. Project Type : Individual Date : December 2020 (Semester 5) Guided by Shantanu Jana, Renuka Oka
The Housing Studio is envisaged to take forward the cumulative learnings of the previous 4 semesters further into Detailed understanding and design of community living spaces, responsive to climate passively’. The approach is to start evolving from the micro to the macro; Unit design site understanding cluster design. Then it moves to the interactive phase of both micro and macro, layering in Community living-Site Response-Climatic optimization and Site Utilities. The results will be evaluated for comprehensive understanding of design, construction, climate and context.
36
Human interaction is very important factor in community housing. So a small study to understand the spaces and the quality of space where such interactions take place in todays world.
Different typologies have self grown spaces of interaction, where people tend to meet on everyday basis. But todays, high rise built are killing the interaction spaces.

Working Drawings Designing + Working. Project Type : Individual Date : May 2021 (Semester 6) Guided by Shantanu Jana
Working drawings are a set of comprehensive architectural drawings which are used in the construction of a building. In addition to the structural drawings and service engineer’s drawings, architectural working drawings are used. These working drawings can be divided into location drawings, assembly drawings and component drawings. As you go through the assembly drawings, you will understand the arrangement of various parts. You will understand about walls and layers in a building. The fixing of walls to structural elements can be noticed with these assembly drawings. You will understand how to finish edges of openings and fitting of pre fabricated components by going through the assembly drawings.

Before the attack, scorpions are in a stable standing position, with their center of mass in the very center of the body.
Scorpion’s pre-abdomen part of the body is made up of scaled outer shell, which help to bend forward.
The formation of eight legs of scorpion shows a particular pattern which prepares it for attack.
Abstraction Attacking movement of a scorpion sting . Project Type : Individual Date : September 2019 (Semester 3) Guided by Renuka Oka, Maninder Singh.
The aim of the exercise revolves around the act of dissecting, reducing the information, understanding the essential features, characteristics and phenomenon of any living or non-living object under study. This act of abstraction further becomes a tool that helps one transforms this coded understanding of an object’s feature or phenomena into meaningful architectural space and structure models. Scorpions use their pincers and poisons tail to restrain and kill prey. They have develop this technique to survive. With the process of abstraction, I am able to understand how the whole body is evolved to help this process of killing through various sketches and model explorations.
52
During attack the energy of the scorpion transfers from head to the top of the tail.
The body of the scorpion is developed with decrease in proportion in mass going from head to tail.
How the scorpion pulls its body back during sharp attack on the prey.
The barrel-shaped segments could be imagined as bending cuboid forms.
During attack the scorpions pulls is legs close to the body.
Representing the stable hierarchy in the tail.
The tail during attack has a counter balancing force.
Patterns formulating in their legs.
The above diagrams show that how the body of a scorpion response when it either has to catch a prey or protect itself for other animals.

Space And Form Transformation Exploring the form of a step well.
Project Type : Individual Date : May 2019 (Semester 2) Guided by Krunali Rathod.
The aim of the exercise was to understand the different spaces and forms in a ancient monument structure of a Step-well. Sevasi vaav built in the memory of spiritual leader Vidhyadhar was an architectural marvel and quite popular among the locals. But, this 542-year-old stepwell located right at the entrance of Sevasi village is in shambles and completely neglected now. After exploration, understanding the value of the form and also the solid patterns present in the step-well, I tried to play with the strong column grid , the strong two side parallel stone walls, the long stairways and the a cylindrical deep well at the very end of all the mass. Imaging space with its own purpose and language, but which has a background relation with very known form of the stepwell which has made its place in peoples cultural; puts forward a way to explore every minute detail and its purpose in the original form.
Images of the Step-well.

Architectonics Basic Design Project. Project Type : Individual Date : May 2019 (Semester 2) Guided by Shalini Amin.
Spaces are always visualized over a plain surface and every other object stands on it. This is a very monotonous way to imagine a space in a overall volume. In Architectonics, the play of the plains inside a 3D cuboid form answers the questions that a meaning of a plain is not only walls and slabs but inside an imaginary 3D volume and following a particular grid pattern the plain can communicate with a person in different levels. Each one of us had a similar kit of parts an same cuboid volume with two physical plain as the base. This helped everyone of us to look into the visualization power that a scaled human could see and interpret at every point in and in any axis of a model. Having no restriction allowed us to create our own sense of movement and a sense of negative blockage space. Few plains, here, too acted as slabs and walls but that rigidity was completely missing.
Kits of parts

Artitecture Art + Architecture Workshop. Workshop Conducted by RED Studio, Vadodara. Project Type : Individual Date : December 2019 (seven days)
This workshop is about analyzing a painting based on the parameters of geometry, construction in space, composition in space, color fills, movement within the painting, balance and hierarchy individually as layers and then superimpose on each other. The two dimensional painting is to be imagined as a three dimensional composition. ‘Malevich, Painterly Realism of a Football Player’ is a bold and dynamic composition which is one of the first and most important abstract paintings. Kazimir Malevich, a Russian artist and art theorist, wanted to capture the swing of a football player’s leg. Hereby he uses simple tilted shapes to show the power of the swing and fixing the direction in which the ball would travel. Visualizing the 2D shapes into a 3D form with giving each form its individual meaning and corelating each form with one another and also as a whole, is what I learned in this process.
60
Abstraction Biomimicry of natural forms. Workshop Conducted by RED Studio, Vadodara. Project Type : Individual Date : June 2019 (seven days)
Abstraction is the process of taking away or removing characteristics from something in order to reduce it to a set of essential characteristics. Conceptual abstractions may be formed by filtering the information content of a concept or an observable phenomenon, selecting only the aspects which are relevant for a particular purpose. The process here is the abstraction of an object taken from nature. This particular project aims towards capturing the movement of a frog’s body during a jump. Here it becomes very important to understand that there are various factors that allow such a long jump to take place, like, change of center of mass, stretching out of the legs and the elongation of the central body. All this behaves in a singular structure in nature and which in itself is quite stable. The study helps me to learn the uniqueness in every living object that supports the form and the function that helps it survive in nature.

Project Type : Group Project - Neel Patel, Digvi Patel. Date : July 2020
“Social Distancing” keeping space between you and others is one of the best tools we have to avoid being exposed to this virus and slowing its spread locally and across the country and world. Thinking upon the same, one problem that arises is -”How must one keep a preferred distance from others in a space that is in itself very compact?” Like a Bus Stop.
The world today is experiencing unprecedented demographic growth and consequent urbanization of v growth in urban areas usually gets coupled with poor planning of physical and social infrastructure and communal sanitary consciousness. I tried to design a sitting that could keep people at a preferred distance from one another, and also not break the connect between people around. I actually targeted to types of people visiting this space, one which are in a high rush to catch a bus,and others who tired from their journey and want a rest, also senior citizens. This way on alternating the two types, one can create an gap between the people.
BUS, STOP THE SPREAD! “Social Distancing” keeping space between you and others is one of the best tools we have to avoid being exposed to this virus and slowing its spread locally and across the country and world. Thinking upon the same, one problem that arises is - “How must one keep a preferred distance from others in a space that is in itself very compact?” Like a Bus Stop. I tried to design a sitting that could keep people at a preferred distance from one another, and also not break the connect between people around. I actually targeted to types of people visiting this space, one which are in a high rush to catch a bus,and others who tired from their journey and want a rest, also senior citizens. This way on alternating the two types, one can create an gap between the people and reduce the physical contact that is otherwise there in normal situation.
SITTING :
It would preferably comfortable for the tired or the older people to sit, and also communicate with the person sitting on the alternate seat, maintaining a required distance of a meter.
LEANING: Rubbered Surfaced Coiled Spring (Over the sitting part)
People at the bus stops are quite busy, and don't prefer to sit, so just by creating an angled leaning surface it would be comfortable enough to rest for a while.
Revolute Pin Joint (On the Sitting)
Curved leather (The leaning surface)

Prison Design Architecture Competition Project Type : Group Project - Prashant Bhinde. Date : June 2021 Recidivism is not a very rare occurrence. Its time to put out the question, Why? Why do convicts go back to their old means as soon as they are re leased from the prison? Why are prisons failing to contribute to the society? Overcrowding prisons with poor living conditions and little opportunity for rehabilitation has resulted in high rates of recidivism. But is at all? Prisons not only effect the lives of convicts, it effects the lives the victims, the lives of officers working their shifts day and night and it effects the society as a whole. Complete disconnect from everything and isolated environment leads to public stigmatization of inmates, a psychological disconnect from society and a lack of educational/work opportunities that are necessary to support oneself upon release. Each of these conditions contributes to recidivism. We propose a prison in which inmates are continuously interacting with nature where inmates’ connection to nature is the underlying idea.WTo achieve control, a prison needs barriers. To counter the experience of disconnection we developed several nonobtrusive barriers. Large windows made of ballistic glass connects the inside with the outside. The landscape outside is shaped so that part of the main perimeter fence is hidden from view, creating an illusion of a continuous barrier less landscape stretching out from the prison.
