An yearly initiative organised by Rosie Holidays where tour desk sales
consultants, administration staff, drivers etc. go through a 15 minute product update and training with tour suppliers. This year representing Sigatoka River Safari at our sales booth was Vanessa & Amelina.
Both ladies mentioned how this was a great opportunity to basically thank the Rosie team for the work that they do in promoting and marketing Sigatoka River Safari products to their clients. Also a chance to socialise, catch up & put a face to the name for most of the staffs that they have been dealing with for sales. A two day programme held at the S ofitel & Intercontinental hotel with over 200 Rosie staff Lautoka, Nadi, Denarau, Natadola, Coral Coast, Pacific Harbour and Suva tour desk locations. Vanessa and Amelina had a lot of giveaways including sarongs, hats & tee shirts that was a winner during the two day conference.

Alitia Rotunivono aka “Tia” is a familiar face for those of you who have ventured out on the ever popular Off Road Cave Safari. After her first ever visit to Australia in 2015, Tia decided that her next adventure would be to New Zealand. On her NZ expedition she was accompanied by Jay Whyte (Managing Director) and Clare (Sales Manager) who began the 3 week educational trip with a visit to the Waitomo Caves, home of the world famous glow worms. A major aspect o f the t rip w as t o increase her knowledge o f cave systems and adventure based activities in the home of adventure tourism. “The Waitomo Caves are so beautiful, I was a bit scared at first as I didn’t know what to expect from blackwater rafting but im glad I did it. It was a great experience!! Tia enthused when asked about this experience. During the 3 weeks away, apart from visiting Waitomo, she got to see first hand Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington, Queenstown, Haast and then a relaxing week on the farm in Gore. The natural beauty o f New Zealand had T ia m esmerised and she said if anyone has a chance to go there, they have to do it. Tia has been with Sigatoka River Safari for 3 years now and says her love for travel continues to grow everyday and meeting people from all over the globe, learning more about their cultures and their country’s hidden beauties is what inspires me to learn more and continue to share Fiji’s unique history and scenic views when our guests “Take the road less travelled”. REVIEWS “The 'REAL' Fiji” If you can find a better way to combine adventure with culture in Fiji then please let me know. We traveled via jet boat with a more than competent driver who was friendly and knowledgeable called Freddy, along the Sigatoka river to one of the many villages dotted along the banks. The village tour, kava ceremony and lunch followed by performances by both the villages and us (yes, you dance too which makes their day) was eye-opening and you really can't say you've been to Fiji unless you have seen the way these amazing and friendly people live. Tip: If you can, pre-purchase supplies for the schools to donate (Pens, books, stickers, RUBGY BALLS just anything - they are received gratefully!) Visited March 2017
karindavis71 Adelaide, Australia “Brilliant” My partner and I took a much needed break to Fiji and saw this tour advertised at the resort. Every dollar was worth it. From the concise pick up and drop off to the humourous laughter to the boat. "Lady Ga ga" and "spongebob" (driver of the bus) had us all in fits of laughter to tje water's edge. The staff are so helpful and chose the eldest person from the group. He or she then becomes "chief" for the day. This gives a sligjt example how the real Chief is in the Village. Now, captain Lap is a classic. His village where we were going is amazing. The stories he tells along the way will mesmorise you. Get to the village and the group go into a shed for welcoming ceremony. Women wear sarongs which are given and try the local Kava. The people are not rich materialistically yet so rich from their warmth and heart. Beautiful feast put on and lots of dancing and singing. Beautiful underestimates this paradise. Capt Lap takes us back along the river (all locals wave as you zoom by) and he signals to us to do 360 degree spins. We all chorous yes!!! Soaking wet yet so much fun. No rush and they all felt like family Definitely a must The experience is unforgettable. Visited March 2017

“WOW What an Amazing Adventure YOU HAVE TO DO THIS”
We had the most amazing trip. Our elderly mother was with us and had difficulty climbing in and out of the boat but there were so many willing hands to help her. When we arrived at the village location she was treated like a queen and carried to the village as the track was rough and steep. When we arrived at the village we were welcomed like long lost family members. The whole experience is one we will never forget. We would recommend this trip to everyone who goes to FIJI. OUR VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO CAPTAIN FREDDIE AND LADY GAGA MUM SAID THE SPINS WERE AWESOME. To the Chief and the village we say Vinaka na kana & kava. Vinaka Vakelevu Ni Sa Moce Visited March 2017

“Waterfalls galore ”
Our jet boat cruise was simply wonderful. The senery was impeccable and untouched. Our day was simply discovering the fiji life and their village living. The locals truly made our day worth while. This tour shows their true culture and how wonderful these people really are with so little.

“Off-Road Cave Safari Sigatoka ”
A wonderful well organised trip. Great commentary and information regarding area and villages. Friendly very helpful guides. Trip to caves was fun and stopped on way for photos. Vegetation lovely and green. The villagers happy and smiling ready with a wave and Bula. The young children were adorable. A traditional Kava ceremony at Priests community hall for permission to enter. The cave was very interesting and again very informative a good experience. After a well catered bbq lunch Would definitely recommend. A huge thanks to Nox, Josephine, Emily and the rest of the guides on our trip making our day a very memorable one. Visited March 2017
