What is ÁGORA?

ÁGORA is the flagship community and magazine in Spanish where to educate and discuss in relation to the improvements and challenges that the blockchain technologies offer on decentralization, liquid democracy, education, freedom, privacy and transparency taken from a positive social impact on the commons.

How did it all begin?

The project debuted in January 2018 with the first edition of the magazine along with the website and the Telegram groups and channels. On its first anniversary, the core team agreed to move forward and perform a full rebranding, including the name shortening from ÁgoraChain to ÁGORA, as well as propelling the partnerships and raising awareness among the Spanish speaking world population.

Tell us about the ÁGORA magazine

Rather than covering the news, the focus of the magazine, and hence its web blog, is placed on bringing insights and opening constructive debates around the challenges and proposals derived from these tools for financial freedom. The ÁGORA magazine is issued quarterly on digital support free for the community. Due to the growing demand, the magazine is also available on paper, both on meetups, shops and events, so as to further improve our audience reach, apart from the crypto niche.

Which are the main goals?

The AgoraChain association is a non-for-profit organization and its main objectives are to create and broadcast the blockchain culture and paradigm along with the disruptive technologies across several media resources. It aims to establish and promote good practices between the projects derived from the use of such technologies, with special interest on blockchain.

Who is behind the project?

Almost ten people are currently are highly involved in day-to-day work. All the workload of the association and the magazine is managed in an agile manner using several online tools and communication channels as we all live in different parts of Spain. On every new release we gather virtually to rejoice in good company and set up the procedures in order to keep improving.

What are the future plans for ÁGORA?

Latin America should have a clear and sound voice in the project. In that sense, we focus on strengthening the collaboration with their communities and learning from their huge potential. At the same time, we will keep spreading the word of blockchain between the wide Spanish-speaking community. Moreover, we will soon release a book about computer safety, published under the ÁGORA label, the first of many to come.
