Hop Aboard the Holiday Light Tour with Santa Clarita Transit

This week, see Santa Clarita in a whole new way when you take a one-of-a-kind ride on the Holiday Light Tour. Offered each year by Santa Clarita Transit, the Holiday Light Tour allows you to experience the magic of the holidays by seeing a variety of festive light displays throughout our community.
You will be able to ride comfortably on a Santa Clarita Transit vehicle — or even our classic wood trolley — for a festive tour of some of the best displays of holiday décor in the City of Santa Clarita.
The Holiday Light Tour will take place from December 16-18 beginning at 6 p.m., each night. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes and begins and ends at the McBean Regional Transit Center (Valencia Boulevard just west of McBean Parkway). Tours will depart every 15 minutes with the final one beginning at 9 p.m.
The Holiday Light Tour really is a magical way to connect with your friends and neighbors here in Santa Clarita. Last month, we saw thousands of residents visit Old Town Newhall for the City’s annual Light Up Main Street event, and the Holiday Light Tour builds off that festivity and camaraderie by taking you on a journey through different Santa Clarita neighborhoods.
Seating on the tour is available on a first come, first served basis only. Tickets can be purchased when you board for $3 per person, but the ticket price will be waived for those who bring a canned food item to donate.
All canned food donations will benefit the SCV Food Pantry. This way, you will be able to help a family with much needed items while you are making memories with your own.
The event is fun for the whole family and you are going to want to sit back and watch your children’s faces light up with each twinkling display they see as they get ready for the holidays to finally be here. Pack snacks, bring a blanket to get cozy and warm up your singing voice – you never know when the inspiration for caroling will strike!
While the Holiday Light Tour primarily takes you through residential neighborhoods, you will also see some business areas that have also been festively decorated. Even longtime residents are sure to discover a new location with holiday spirit in Santa Clarita.
After your tour is complete, make a plan to visit the City of Santa Clarita’s holiday displays in Old Town Newhall. From the Santa Clarita Public Library Old Town Newhall Branch to the end of Main Street, you can experience a one-of-a-kind Winter Wonderland of dazzling lights and decorations through the end of the year.
