ABOUT STEVE
SALES MANAGER
Steve Cunis has worked in the residential construction industry for four years, starting as a House and Land Specialist with Signature Homes Northland, before moving into the Sales Manager role 12 months ago.
Although raised in Northland, Steve moved to Christchurch when he was 20, to pursue cricket, and he played for Canterbury for the best part of 10 years, and during that time he also studied and graduated to be a Primary School teacher, which he, in turn, did for nine years.
Prior to joining the Northland franchise’s high-performing sales team, Steve was the General Manager of the Northland Cricket Association, where he worked for 10 years – starting in Operations and moving through into the GM role, which he did for five years. He also had high performance coaching roles for New Zealand Cricket, where he worked with Black Caps and New Zealand A players and teams.
The vast experience Steve has through his teaching, coaching and administrational roles, along with his four years in the construction industry, enables him to connect with people and find solutions to their building needs. He enjoys supporting people and helping them achieve their dreams by way of a no-fuss, enjoyable experience, where they are guided through every step of the building process, receiving honest and reassuring feedback.
While Steve has exceptional work ethic, he always finds time for his wife Kara and three sons, Flynn, Nate and Henry, who take up a lot of family time on numerous sports fields! He believes a healthy work-life balance is essential to delivering the best service to his clients. “I love Northland, and I love helping people. I get so much satisfaction from getting to know people and supporting them achieve their dreams – to me, that’s everything”.
