Maidstone Mentors • Idea from attendees of Maidstone Peer Support Group • Worked with them to develop specification and walk through • Have started discussions with Alzheimer’s Society • Working with Emma Hanson to get test phase up and running
Checklist • Using examples from the Alzheimer's Association to have discussions with people about what they liked / didn’t like • Participants have included: carers, people living with dementia, and professionals including GPs • Feedback given to service designer • Prototype checklist created
DementiaWeb • User testing carried out with people living with dementia, carers, professionals and Kent residents • Findings written up and shared • Meeting being arranged to discuss next steps
Information for children and young people
• Meeting with young carers group at FACES of Kent • The young people suggested a book in the style of ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ • Smaller group of young people (aged 12-15) have put themselves forward to work on this • Author / illustrator, Matt Snyman, has agreed to work with the young people to create this • People living with dementia will be invited to contribute to developing the story
