NEXT-GENERATION SEALED CARTRIDGE FIT DAMPER

GRIP2 is our next-evolution sealed cartridge FIT system, our highest performing gravityfocused damper with category-defining ride characteristics that give more control and less friction. GRIP2 shares its roots with the original GRIP architecture, but has been seriously enhanced, adding friction-reducing treatments and a high- performance mid valve. FIT GRIP2 now features high-speed rebound using our novel and patent-pending approach: Variable Valve Control (VVC), upgrading it to 4-way adjustability.

4-WAY ADJUSTABILITY

The revolutionary design of the GRIP2 damper provides independently adjustable highand low-speed compression and high and low-speed rebound.In addition to offering incredible damper control, the adjustments also have a wider compression damping range to increase support without adding harshness. speed rebound but without the need for damper disassembly.

VARIABLE VALVE CONTROL (VVC)

FIT GRIP2 now features high-speed rebound using our novel and patent-pending approach: VARIABLE VALVE CONTROL (VVC).

It’s a revolutionary way to adjust the high-speed rebound circuit, effectively changing valve stiffness rather than adding preload.

Unlike normal adjusters that add valve preload, VVC uses a leaf spring to alter valve flex in the high-speed rebound circuit. The adjuster provides the same effect as revalving high-speed rebound but without the need for damper disassembly.

MID-VALVE

A sophisticated mid-valve design allows more effective shaping of the compression damping curve, offering confidence-inspiring support that resists brake dive. Tested and proven on the demanding World Cup Downhill circuit, GRIP2 has been relentlessly tuned to deliver just the right amount of support without harshness, giving it another level of refinement over previous generation dampers.

Friction Reduction

During the development of GRIP2, engineering uncovered improvements that greatly reduce friction.

Low friction seals help improve small bump compliance and honed, polished, and coated shaft and tube surfaces further eliminate friction for an unmatched ride experience.

LESS FRICTION, MORE FLOW

Fueled by years of RAD development, X2 hits the sweet spot with its a linear damping profile, revised oil flow, and redesigned seals on DHX2 and FLOAT X2 shocks. The wide adjustment range gives riders the support and grip that the trail demands, as well as a more plush and open feel in the initial travel.

Patented Air Transfer Port System

Our EVOL linear spring curve gives forks and shocks plushness off the top, extra mid-stroke support, and more tunable bottom-out progression, allowing riders to tap into the ideal pairing of front and rear-end feel.

Rod Valve System

The ROD VALVE SYSTEM (RVS) provides a more seamless damping transition when absorbing small to large impacts, resulting in faster system response, more control, and less harshness.

Buttery Smooth

Kashima’s distinctive gold color is backed by its high-performance attributes— properties that provide an exceptionally smooth feel and extreme durability.

A reconfigured shim stack found in all 34 and 36 FIT4 forks provides more sensitivity while maintaining support during aggressive riding.

In its fourth generation, our patented FIT4 closed cartridge system provides three on-thefly compression damping positions—Open, Medium, and Firm— to adapt to varying trail conditions. Factory Series forks feature an additional 22 clicks of low-speed compression adjust in the Open mode, allowing riders to fine-tune their exact damping preferences.

Dual Piston System

The DUAL PISTON valve design improves both rebound and compression flow, allowing for active and supple Open and Medium modes without compromising Firm mode stiffness.

FLOAT shocks with our DUAL PISTON SYSTEM (DPS) feature three on-the-fly settings—Open, Medium, and Firm—to allow riders to adapt to a wide variety of terrain. The valve design provides full lockout without compromising bump compliance, ride control, and efficiency. Factory Series shocks feature an additional 3 clicks of low-speed compression adjustability in the Open mode.

Inspired by moto fork damping systems, FOX’s award-winning GRIP damper uses our FIT sealed cartridge technology combined with a coil-sprung, internal floating piston. The system allows excess oil to purge through a specially designed port at the top of the damper to maintain consistent damping and increase durability. Performance Series forks provide Open, Medium, and Firm modes with additional micro-adjust between settings.
