Conducted recitation groups on a weekly-basis, facilitated workshops on softwares such as Rhinoceros 5, Grasshopper, DIVA, and Archsim, and assisted with all class efforts for ARCH 1611 taught to first year undergraduate students. The class is led by Assistant Professor Timur Dogan Ph.D, and focuses on daylighting, energy modeling, passive climate control strategies, and perfWormance driven design workflows in both an urban and and architectural scale.

Designer’s Assistant

Assisted in the field measurement of several existing house in order to provide more accurate plans that would ultimately contribute to the redesign for the space. Modeled and designed house plans using AutoCAD. Exposed to Revit modeling and hand-drafting skills for several ongoing models of South Florida homes. Worked alongside University of Miami students and helped organize presentations used in Studio Classes during Fall’14 and Spring’15 semesters.

Can Lis

Montezuma Castle National Monument

Morte explores the hybridization of two given precedents: Can lis by Jorn Utzon and Montezuma’s Castle. The project began to take form through the documentation and analysis of the precedents. A hybrid of the two was created with the intention of depicting a gradient of space that was observed. The final conception portrays a cemetery located in an imaginary site. The form is meant to be sculptural and monumental. A series of walls helps to emphasize the mimicking of floating volumes each designated for a specific purpose as the visitor experiences a very specific procession.

I 01 Lubricus Rubellus “Earthworm” I Design I Fall 2015 | Professor Lorena del Rio | The earthworm is a subterranean animal that consists of two sets of muscles that help the creature propel itself in order to dig through the earth. These two sets of muscles are a series of circular muscles that run along the body of the earthwom as well as a series of longitudinal muscles that span the entirety of the creature’s body. During my study of the creature, I identified two sets of muscles which aid in recognizing their relationship. Both sets work separately as well as together in order to create a propelling movement of the animal.
