During this period i have been assigned for the developement of a parking lot located in a former American Military Barrack, converted into a multi-functional Public Space. The space is dominated by one mateial, the asphalt. The idea is to cut out the existing surface by framing the existing graphic elements as indipendent icons. The cut outs are used to and re-arrange the space and make room for other features, enhancing the contrast between the sealed and unsealed parts.
To mark the launch of RIBA North, Un-veiled visually and spatially interpreted the aims and purpose of the new architectural centre. The resulting pavillon in the Winter Gardens used curtains of mesh fabric, used on a building site scaffolding, to create sections through some of the most iconic architectural structures across the Northern Powerhouse.

Model Making
During each semester, redrawings of relevant project, as been a way to understand better the qualities of each project. I also developed an interest in shaping materials. Wood and concrete, are materials that i admire for their peculiarity and way you can transform them.
