Safety Precautions
Always make sure to sanitize your brushes and files. If you do not and you use them on multiple people they could get bacteria infections. Use monomer (the liquid cleaner) only and only use it once. 5
Prepping The Nail Remove all the polish and clip the nails down. Apply cuticle remover to base of nails and use the cuticle pusher and slide back nonliving tissue up and off the nail plate. Rise the nails off. Use the buffer to remove shine from the nail. Follow direction that the nail grows. Use the scrubfresh and the fiber/lint free pad to cleanse and dehydrate the nail plate. Need to scrub well so there is no oil or dirt left in cuticle area or on nail.
6
Applying The Tip • Match fake nails to finger size. Use 180 grit file to shape the sides. • Attach the tip with nail glue. There should be no air bubbles. • Use a one cut clipper for desired length. • Blend tip with 100 grit file 7
Applying The Primer Primer comes in a nail polish type bottle already. Brush the natural part of the nail with the primer. Do 2-3 nails before dipping again. Primer is used to adhere the powder.
8
Applying Acrylic • Start with fresh monomer, this will start to evaporate once uncovered. • Place brush into monomer, then in powder, and press the bead of powder against the middle of the nail (zone 1). • Work the product from side to side, creating smile line. • Press second bead in middle of nail plate (zone 2), move product side to side. 9
Applying Acrylic • Zone 3 continues the tapered line from zone 2 leaving a free margin around the side of your nail. • Add product where necessary.
10
Shaping & Finishing Process Use 180 grit file to blend and refine product. Go around curve of the nail in rounded motions. Apply solar oil onto nail and around the nail. Then walk to sink and use nail brush to scrub underneath nails. Polish or bring to high shine using a girlfriend buffer. 11
Troubleshooting If you add too much glue when applying tip and glue leaks into cuticle use a cuticle pusher with a very small amount of non acetone nail polish remover to remove excess glue. If acrylic powder runs into side walls of nails, dip your nail brush into monomer and move the excess powder off the sides, if not done it will cause lifting. If nail looks completely wrong dip nail in a bowl of acetone until acrylic begins to fall off.
