Tips for super silky skin Your body reveals many things about you – how you think and feel, how much (or little) exercise you take and how well you look after yourself. Caring for your hands and feet, and making scented powders and massage oils, aren’t just extravagant indulgences – they are an important part of your self-esteem •● Remove dead skin cells and improve your circulation by brushing your body with a natural bristle body brush or an inexpensive loofah. Using gentle circular strokes, brush upwards from your feet, over your hips and stomach, moving lightly up your arms and across your chest, shoulders and back. •● Smooth almond oil all over your body and relax in a comfortably warm place for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, have a bath or shower and use a loofah or face washer to gently buff the oil away. •● Soften and naturally lighten any leathery, discoloured skin on your knees and elbows. Soak cotton squares in lemon juice and massage them into your knees. Then place your elbows in the presqueezed lemon halves for 5 minutes. Finish by rinsing with water and gently drying your skin. •● Treat rough, bumpy skin by spreading sour cream over the backs of your arms and legs. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse it off. The lactic acid exfoliates the skin via a natural chemical action. •● For dry, cracked hands try this old-fashioned remedy – it really works! Combine 2 boiled, mashed potatoes with 1 tablespoon vegetable glycerine and enough milk to make a workable paste. Massage thoroughly into your hands, leave for about 5 minutes, then rinse. •● Relieve itchy skin by adding 2 tablespoons bicarbonate of soda to your bath water. If you are sensitive to highly scented bath preparations, it’s an ideal alternative. •● For softer skin, put a handful of rice bran into a clean cut-off stocking, knotted at the top, and drop it into the bath to release vitamin-rich oils. In Japan, this is known as a nuka bath. Or sprinkle 1⁄2 cup powdered milk into the bath water and swish to disperse. Another one to try is 1⁄2 cup oatmeal in a muslin bag, added to the bath water.

Last Minute Checklist for Grooms Brides spend a lot of time planning their weddings down to every last detail. We at noticed, however, that grooms are not always quite as on top of the small stuff. Since brides are already so busy, we wanted to help grooms get better organized {so brides don’t have to nag them!}.

A Fresh Haircut: The groom doesn’t need to spend all morning in the salon like the bride likely will, but he does need a fresh haircut before the big day. Given how busy the last few days before a wedding typically are, the groom should go for a haircut the weekend before the wedding. That way he will look neat for the rehearsal dinner and any other pre-wedding festivities. And guys, even if you normally get your haircuts on your lunch hour at the local walk-in place, consider spending a little more to get a top quality haircut at a salon that caters to men.

This might sound silly, but if your fiance rents his tuxedo, it will come with the suit, the shirt, and maybe even the shoes – so he thinks he is all set, right? Wrong – There is one thing that doesn’t necessarily come with a tux rental: the black dress socks. Think no man could overlook socks for his wedding day? Well my husband did! The morning of our wedding, he was scrambling around looking for a store in our small town with dress socks in stock. Or if your groom is wearing a suit and wants socks with a bit more personality, such as argyle, make sure he remembers to pick up a new pair for the wedding day.
A Gift for the Bride:
In case you didn’t know, many grooms give their brides a little gift on the morning of the wedding. You can be sure that your bride knows about it, so it is a good idea to pick up a little something special. If you do not plan to do a first look, it is customary to have the gift delivered to the bride where she will be getting ready. Jewelry is the most traditional wedding day gift, whether it is something for the bride to wear with her gown, or a classic piece (perhaps monogrammed with her new initials?)

The Wedding Rings:
Where are they? Did you hide them in a “safe place”
That will be impossible to remember on the morning of the wedding? First of all, make sure you locate the wedding bands. Second of all, remember to bring them to the ceremony! If you are not having a ring bearer, put both wedding bands together in one box and give them to your best man to hold. He can keep them in the inside pocket of his jacket until it is time for the ring exchange.
Pack a Bag for the Honeymoon:
Last but not least, be sure to pack for your honeymoon trip! Remember to bring your passport if traveling internationally. Not headed out of town right after the wedding? Then pack an overnight bag for your honeymoon, along with clothes to wear to brunch the next morning.

In a recent interview Angela agreed to let us in on the secret to her success: “I love using traditional silver-smithing techniques to produce beautiful contemporary jewellery. Each piece is individually designed and handcrafted using materials of the highest quality, including sterling silver, 9ct and 18ct and 22ct gold, precious and semi precious stones.” Wedding bands have a timeless quality to them and when you recite your vows and exchange rings you expect to be wearing them for a lifetime! "I can make bespoke wedding rings, engagement rings, tiaras, cufflinks and bridesmaids gifts. Your wedding ring can be made to match or fit round a tricky designed engagement ring. Many normal wedding bands rub against the claws holding your precious diamond in your engagement ring, in time this will damage the claw and your diamond may fall out when your not expecting it too! A bespoke wedding ring is the answer!" As well as making bespoke wedding jewellery, Angela is happy to take commissions for other pieces of jewellery that you may wish to give as a gift to someone special: "I work with clients to design and handcraft jewellery to their individual specifications, in a choice of metals including all carats of gold and sterling silver with gemstones if required."
Another innovative service provided by Angela is in redesigning and remodelling your existing jewellery. You can even have a piece of your old jewellery melted down and made into something new? Angela added: "This is a fantastic way of using your sentimental jewellery so that all the memories are kept, so don’t cash them in just commission me to make you a truly unique piece of jewellery." It comes as no surprise to learn that Angela regularly showcases her work at Art Galleries, various designer/maker Craft Fairs and on her on-line Shop. Having built-up an enviable reputation, Angela is able to draw on her experience and unique knowledge to run Jewellery Making Workshops and tuition sessions in order to extend this wonderful craft to others, as she explained: "I teach at venues in Cheshire and have the ability to travel anywhere with tools and jewellers' benches to run workshops for corporate and team building events, hen parties and demonstrations." Angela's commitment to keep abreast of the latest news on innovative designs, fashion trends, etc, within the industry, is highlighted by the fact that she is a member of the Federation of Small Businesses and a member of the Cheshire Artists Network, Cheshire Open Studios and Wirral Open Studios.
