Dear Friends, The Workforce Education Coalition (“WEC”) was formed to respond to Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce members' requests for help in building a reliable skilled workforce. To address members’ needs, the Chamber developed partnerships with local schools and employers to create industry tour programs. Student, teacher and employer interest in the tours exceeded all expectations. The demand for career exploration opportunities led the Chamber to form the Chamber of Commerce Workforce Education Coalition 501(c)(3) to expand the work that it had started. Today, WEC programs bring businesses, teachers and students together through teacher summer STEM-Ersions, STEM-Equity programs, monthly Entrée to Employment sector dinners and industry tours. In addition, the WEC collaborates with education and industry partners on special projects. We invite you to join WEC’s growing list of supporters by becoming a Workforce Investor through a financial contribution or your business’ participation in our programs. The WEC relies upon the generosity of Workforce Investors to sustain its programs. Please contact me to discuss how we can partner to help create a robust Ventura County workforce.

For some of us it's a process of elimination, so exploring is valuable.

Today I was made aware of potential healthcare internships in my community.

This was an eye opener program.

This trip made me realize there are a lot of career possibilities. I loved the tour...it made me change my perspective on so many things.
