Well friends, we made it through February...we’re in the home stretch of winter now, fingers crossed! With January being mostly tolerable, and February in the rearview now, I can’t help but be a bit nervous to see what March brings....whoever has been putting in the weather orders, keep the sunshine comin’ and hold off on the snow storms...let’s pray for rain in May instead! But honestly, we’ve been pretty lucky, I do have to say! Our January calving producers sure deserved a break this year, as I’m certain we haven’t had a January like this year for decades!!!

As the bull sale season ramps up, cowboys are waiting at the mailbox for the newest stack of catalogs to arrive...Simmental bulls are still highly sought after...whether you’re looking for performance, calving ease or just some extra bull power for insurance, do your homework boys, there’s a bull out there that will fit the bill, and chances are you won’t have to go far to find him!

As things are returning to “normal,” we are sure glad to be able to visit with our customers and friends again around the sale barns! However, we will miss the odd sale here and there and hope we can catch up down the road. As I write this, I am packing my suitcase, and have to use my “mom pass” and apologize in advance to a few of our friends and customers...I will miss a few sales coming up as I will be travelling to Prince Edward Island to watch my youngest daughter compete in the Mixed Pairs Figure Skating event at the Canada Winter Games!! I am beyond proud and super excited to cheer her and her partner on during this amazing experience!

So, best of luck to all in the coming weeks... may the sales be strong and the weather be just what you ordered.....
