Interview... Hi Simone! What is it about fashion that interests you the most as a student? Simone: How people make fabrics, how they can make you feel when wearing the garment and how you can choose to wear the garment according to what your mood is. Why did you choose to study fashion product and promotion at Sunderland? Simone: I like the fact the course explores many sides of the fashion industry, we are able to experience various sides of fashion and I like how the course also includes promotion, I believe it is a quality we need when we graduate and can take into our future career. What part of the fashion course do you most enjoy? Simone: The designing and sewing part is my favourite, thats when most of my inspiration and best work comes out. Would you recommend this course to other students who want to study fashion? Simone: Yes, I would recommend
this course if you love fashion but you dont know what part of fashion you want to follow but if you know what part of fashion you want to study the course may not be suitable for you because you explore different parts of it. What are the other parts of the course that you enjoy? Simone: I enjoy the promtion parts of the course where we can use modelling and photography as it has made me think about launching a modelling career maybe when I finish uni for a few years. I have modelled in other students photography for their projects and I really enjoyed it! Where do you see yourself in 10 years time? Simone: Hopefully in 10 years time I see myself owning a small haute coutture boutique which would either be in England or as far as America. The boutique would have my own dresses that I have designed and made myself. Interview by Sam Johnson
